With all due respect what's best for you is irrelevant. The Villa manager knows him so he wont drop Tuanzebe unless it's warranted
What you think is also irrelevant though. Their chairman has already said they aren't making any loan signings without options to buy. They've bought several CBs as well, most of which are young and also have experience there on loan so the coach knows them too. They have no interest in developing Axel another season for us to the detriment of their actual players. You don't come out and publicly criticize the loan model and then turn around and develop other clubs' players.

Ok not Villa then but you have Newcastle wanting him on loan as well, another manager who knows him well

Tuanzebe wasn't the only player being played out of position. Why is this really simple concept seemingly beyond you ?

Seriously? You do you speak to everyone in that tone? Shock horror I'm not an avid Aston Villa watcher, all my point was if Villa want him then going there is better than sitting on the bench for us. If Villa dont want him but his old Villa manager does at Newcastle then again that's better than sitting on our bench

You saying it was because they were playing a CB at RB?

That's what their fans thought. They had a shit DM at CB, a CB at RB and they were shipping goals left, right and centre. His successor came in and picked Tuanzebe at CB (and got Mings to replace Chester) and they started defending very well.

If he's good enough to play Premier League and Europa League, then he'll get games here. With Eric injured, he only needs to be our club's 5th best CB to play a decent number of games.

Unfortunately if he can't oust Smalling or Jones, then he's not even close to ready. If he is, his pace and lack of arial dominance might complement Maguire perfectly.

Playing 20 games with us this season will be better for his development than playing 40 for that heap of shite.

Game time by itself is not conducive to development.

Guess same goes for you, with due respect or not, you better check infos regarding club you wanna see him loaned at. Newcastle suggestion is even worse than Villa one.

We should loan him to a bundesliga team or sell him with a buyback clause.

I think thats the best way to find out if the player is good enough, Real Madrid does it often with fairly good results.

If we keep him his chances of playing are really slim, he is 5th choice at best after Maguire, Lindelof, Smalling and Jones. He will hardly get minutes.

If we loan him to another EPL club he wont be a starter, the most likely scenario is that he will become just a squad player at best. No team risks having a youngster as a starter in order to develop him just to send him back to his original club, they would get all the mistakes and wont enjoy the final article. So we just end up just wasting a season, we have seen this time and time again.

Meanwhile in the bundesliga they seem to risk a lot more with youngsters, by selling him we warrant that the club that buys him will give him minutes if they think he’s good enough. If he shows talent we can buy him back and the other club makes a profit, and if he doesn't make it then we got rid of deadwood. It's a win-win situation.

I think we should do this for every youngster that can’t make an instant impact on the team. That way we don't end up having players like Wilson on loan after loan just waiting for his contract to expire. We may end up getting some interesting developed players or at least make a little profit out of them.

I'd be tempted to try him at DM a few games, I thought he did well there under Mourinho.

No more loans for me though, I think he's ready for first-team football.

Many good CBs were started as fullback when younger to allow them acclimatize with the pace of the game, learn positioning, and less impact when got skinned by opponent / make mistake. Young player just need minutes.

I'm not sure your question about. But there are more than few strikers scoring 10 or more goals in the League.
My point was that he's not going to come up against strikers with Rashford's attributes week in, week out. I think he'll be just fine. :)

Is there any chance that ole plans to use him as a defensive midfield? I really can't believe that we are going into the season with Matic as our only proper dm.

I'm confused.
What's the point in letting him join the pre season with us if we plan to loan him out anyway?
Would be much better for him to have a pre season with the team he is gonna play for this season

As it stands the club don't want to loan Tuanzebe, and have promised him an eventual place in the side this season, provided he works hard, of course.
One of the reasons he got a new deal is down to them not wanting to lose him to Villa, even on a loan basis it seems.

There is no way he is getting ahead of either Maguire og Lindelof this season.
We are hindering his development and it saddens me.

Being in the Europa league there will be plenty of opportunity for him to get minutes.
The club seem to have high hopes for him.

He absolutely, absolutely must be ahead of Jones this season.

There is a chance to develop him into a very good player. Jones is a busted flush.

Jones is an option on the left whereas Tuanzebe plays on the right.

Looks very calm and has superior physique over Lindelöf. Will be starting next to Maguire in a few months?

Really enjoyed his performances this season.

Should be first back up to Maguire and Lindelöf.
Absolutely. Going into next season he should be seriously challenging for a starting place.

He's not playing like a young player. He's looking like a senior player most of the time. It's not his speed or athleticism that impresses me, although he has all the tools, but his composure, playing out from the back, technique and ability to sniff out danger are the most important attributes.

Been saying it for ages he's one of our best defenders and is an able bodied player. To think he'll go out on loan is just bonkers when Jones and Bailly are injured all the time. it's Maguire then Axel/Lindelof, the rest can find new clubs or start to improve themselves. I'm sick of the hobbling cnuts.
