Glad to see him given a chance at a proper level. God willing we get another lower league side next round, that way he will get another go in the first team.

Like him a lot, but there wasn´t a lot to take away from his game. When he came on the game was basically over. Still looked very confident with his passing. Won´t hold that incident in our penalty box against him, because he at least showed the confidence to try to pass the ball isntead of hoofing it forward like most of our defenders do.

One thing i saw from him today was his inability to understand that he needs to fall back as a CB when Smalling ran out as a RB. He did not seem to understand that wing-backs goes in to CB if CB for whatever reason end up in wing-back positions.

Love the part about Zlatan such a leader on and off the pitch.

Great to see him get his debut. Not much to do but one for the future

Shake it on baby now,
Tuanzebe!
Twist and shout, twist and shout
C'mon c'mon c'mon Tuanzebe now,
Tuanzebe!
C'mon and work it on out.

Really hard to judge that performance given the score at the time, he was out of position, and how long he was on the pitch for.
Think if we get a lower team at home next round, we will see him again there.

Always difficult with young players who natural play CB as rarely do they seem to get their first game there. Often they start out wide before getting their chance and that's why it's hard to assess him today. I'd have taken Smalling off...

Well TFM is out injured and I presume Jones and Rojo aren't in full training (maybe Shaw too?) so it makes sense that he is training with the first team.

This and the fact Mourinho is probably hoping to give him some minutes against Blackburn.

Both Rojo and Shaw are training today. No Rooney, Carrick or Jones.

I'm from Rochdale (unfortunately) and I can assure you that we don't sound like grime artists.
That said I don't think Axel does either, he didn't when he was younger anyway, maybe if he does now he's picked it up from players in the academy?

Not in the 18 for the FA Cup. Disappointing, but under Jose entirely expected.

We have Smalling, Bailly, Jones and Rojo all deserving starting positions. 4 players battling for 2 positions, all currently playing to a high standard.

The exclusion of Tuanzebe is hardly surprising.

Jones is injured and Jose has been complaining about a fixture pile up. Playing Axel would make sense.

Even with Jones injured, the 3 others deserve to be starting.

None of the CB's need a rest for the fixture congestion, as they have all had spells sitting out this season for one reason or another.

Tuanzabe was needed for the U23's today particularly as Poole is suspended.

He has been very poor in recent games against Derby and Reading as well and is not physically or mentally ready to play CB at this level.

We should give him a shot alongside Bailly but its not gonna happen. It'll be Blind at CB against Burnley.

TFM would be ahead of him no?
