Lol, he doesnt offer the same as what Fellaini does who doesnt even play in the same position. Fellaini's areal/goal threat can be vital vs Ajax.
The manager trusts him a lot. So there's a good chance he will be first choice once he returns from injury (Unless we buy a new CB). DM is definitely a priority along with an attacking threat. CB's are in real short supply as it is, so it'll be interesting to see who he brings. My hope is Gimenez or LaporteI don't really trust Rojo as a starter or Jones to stay healthy, so personally I'd sell one of Jones or Smalling and buy an LCB to form a proper partnership with Bailly. Rojo, Tuanzebe, Blind and Jones/Smalling is a good group of backups and then if Tuanzebe shows he can be relied on as 3rd or 4th choice CB we can sell the other of Smalling or Jones.
But Mourinho is always good with CBs and Rojo has done well enough, so I'd say LB (I love Shaw, but he can't be relied upon to stay healthy apparently and Mourinho might exile him even if he is) DM, CM (I'd definitely rather see Rojo start 30 games than Fellaini if we had a calamity and say Bailly or Pogba or Herrera miss a huge chunk of time) and a star attacker are higher priorities than CB in the transfer market.
Have you seen Fellaini play this season? And what goal threat do you mean exactly?Lol, he doesnt offer the same as what Fellaini does who doesnt even play in the same position. Fellaini's areal/goal threat can be vital vs Ajax.
Considering Fellaini scored the goal that got us to the final, I think he has a point.Have you seen Fellaini play this season? And what goal threat do you mean exactly?
Fair enough if anyone says Tuanzebe is better or offers more, but he isnt similar to Fellaini in play. Vital goal scored in CC and EL semi finals, last year FA Cup semi final and Mata's goal in the final came from his chest, his aerial presence can make difference in such a match, especially vs Ajax who are short. He's a very very limited footballer and can be very bad but you the manager can trust him in what he wants from him.Have you seen Fellaini play this season? And what goal threat do you mean exactly?
Oh, so because one important goal he should start the final now? Have you seen how poor he has been in all the other games? How bad his passing is? His positional awareness?Considering Fellaini scored the goal that got us to the final, I think he has a point.
I'm not the biggest of Fellaini but play him to his strengths and he's a decent asset. Also, Ajax aren't the most physical team, which could play in our favour with Fellaini.
He can come on in the last 10 mins or so but his overall play is so poor. There is no way he's good enough to start for us in midfield. If you point out 2-3 situations over the past 12 months with some chest control or whatever, then it proves that he is poor more often than goodFair enough if anyone says Tuanzebe is better or offers more, but he isnt similar to Fellaini in play. Well I dont really agree, he is no Pogba or Herrera and on his day Carrick is better too, but he does what the manager asks from him. Win duels, work hard, give the ball to the players who are useful with it, offer aeriel threat defensive and offensively. Tuanzebe can do most things, but in a final a bit experience and that extra aerial presence can come in handy. He can come on in the last 10 mins or so but his overall play is so poor.
