Australian Open

I'm proud of Tipsarevic. He showed those top 10 players who can't even take a set against Federer in 5 games who think the game is lost before it has even started that you can have a great chance to beat him if you continue to fight all the time.

Djokovic to play Federer in the Semi, Djokovic to win I hope:D

Hewitt and Baghdatis will be playing at 4 in the morning if this goes the distance.

Tipsarevic played very well but the fact of the matter is that Federer was sloppy. He made a lot of unforced errors and against a better player than Tipsarevic I think he would have lost.

Sania played well too. Had her forehand going for her throughout the game. If she can get a dominant serve she will easily be a top ten player for years to come.

Hewitt won the second set but if he doesn't raise his game he will be knocked out. Needs to get his first serve working. Winner of this game plays Djokovic in what should be another good one.

Murrays loss in the first round suddenly isn't looking as bad as first feared (and to beat my own drum, I knew it wasn't), Tsonga is on the brink of knocking out Gasquet and securing a quarter final place. He's in the weaker half of the mens draw for my money, I reckon he might have a shot of facing Federer yet!

Tsonga is a very good player. In France he was regarded their best young player. It's just that injuries spoilt his progression.
Murray should have beat Tsonga. I know he got the worst possible draw in the 1st round, but his inexperience lost him that match. I bet his Mum gave him a hard time for losing. It could be a blessing in disguiise, giving Murray the a good kick up the backside. He absolutly needs to sort out the mental part of his game. He has to know what game plan to use and to improve his concentration durnig the games. When he gets that part of his game right, he'll be challenging for grand slams.

The surface is the Australian is a little on the slow side for hard courts. It suits the clay specialists a little bit. I therefore expect Nadal (and not Djorkovic) to reach the final, only to lose to you know who...

They've all got burnt shoulders

Really want to be increasing their sun factor for me

This Wozniacki is quite tasty in every respect, unfortunately playing Ivanovic, this has sent the Eurosport commentator into pervert comment overdrive

It is of my belief that Tennis went through quite a recession of talent when the likes of Roddick, Johansson and Hewitt were allowed to win Grand slams.

Johansson was a fluke. The other 2 are good players but nothing great. Not as bad as Petr fecking Korda. Or Marcello Rios for that matter who somehow became number 1 without winning anything.

Hewitt's confidence is shot to pieces and it shows in the way he plays.

Yeap. It's shame the likes of Nadal and Novak did not emerge earlier to challange Federer.

Jankovich won the battle of the sicknotes against Serena (at one point they both had full medical timeouts at the same time). I have never seen Jankovich not have to stop due to 'injury' during a game. She's also one of these that moans to her coach during games, I hate that, it's like they constantly need their hand holding

Perhaps I'm just a bit bitter about the lost three points in teh prediction competition!

Sharapova is really testing Henin.

4-1 up in the first and Henin is struggling to hold serve at the moment.

Seems like a great match.

I should be supporting Henin but Sharapova is so much easier on the eye
