She managed to hold on. Good win for Kim.
Yeah booooooooooooooooooohhhhh..........he has lost any chance of gaining crowd support for his match against Nadal............boooooooooooooooohhhhhhfeck Berdych! Can't even handshake! Come on Rafa.
It's like Ricky Ponting this summer all over again. Nobody likes Hewitt in Australia, but we all want him to win.
Hewitt! WHat a fighter. 2 sets and 3-0 down vs Djokovic nd he comes back to win the 3rd set 6-4.
He'll still go on to lose but incredible spirit shown by him...as usual.
Still some hours to go before the first matches.
The draw really has opened for Murray hasn't it? With Nishikori in the QF's I think this is possibly the easiest route anyone has had to the semis in a long time.
Federer, Nadal and Djokovic will have difficult matches vs Del Po, Berdych and Ferrer.
Yep both Nadal and Federer have had a bit off a walkover till now but Berdych and Del Po are still far more formidable opponents than...Nishikori.
And I disagree about Ferrer not troubling Djoko. I'm sure the latter will win but Djokovic had moments he struggled against Hewitt today and Ferrer is a far far superior version of Hewitt and he's been in wonderful form over the past half year. I think he could possibly even take a set or two off Djoko.
Djokovic probably has the hardest route to the semis with Hewitt and Ferrer. Luckily for Murray his two hardest opponents crashed out before he could face them.
Well Murray's draw before the start of the Australian Open was tough with Harrison in the 1st round, Monfils in the 4th round and Tsonga in the QF.The draw really has opened for Murray hasn't it? Rafa Federer will be on Friday I think and probably the night session as it's such a huge match.
Nadal started poorly and was far too much behind the baseline for much of the first 2 sets but he moved forward and started playing well after that. Match of the tournament so far imo.

It was much easier for your darling Nadal

The women's game is really in poor order at the moment. Mediocrities like Wozniacki are holding the no.1 spot by virtue of being flat track bullies and then being made to look ordinary when the big tournaments come around.
Thursday, night session 7.30 Australian time.
Federer should be arrested, you can't abuse someone in public like that. JMDP was bitched slapped. The score is very deceptive.
I don't know if Clijsters is so good or the rest of the female tennis players are so mediocre, but it's remarkable that she's winning so easily every time she makes a comeback. On her first comeback, she wins the US Open, on the second the Australian Open and now she has a semi final in Brisbane and one in Melbourne already.
If she stays fit this time, she could easily go for the number one spot again I think. She can't win any points in this Open, but last year she didn't do much else than win in Melbourne.
It's actually fantastic that the women's game is so competitive but it's more competitive because yeah the level it's not very good, a lot of very good players are out there but only 1-2 fantastic players like Clijsters and maybe a 100% fit S.Williams.The women's game is really in poor order at the moment.
