Clijsters is going to be out for 2 months with torn ligaments. Have to feel sorry for her with all these injuries.

I feel sorry for her, too. But given the amount of taping that she had done to her just to be able to play, she might have thought twice about trying to play with an injury, since look what has now happened!

I don't feel sorry for her.

Mauresmo just spanked Henin-Hardenne 6-1 in the first set

I'm so glad Mauresmo won but I think Henin-Hardenne should have toughed it out and stayed on the court for four more games rather than taint the victory. She seemed fine when she won that long rally just before pulling out. Wonder how sick she really was or she just knew she was going to get beaten? Anyway good for Amelie.

You should have seen her interview on Eurosport, she was as pale as a piece of white paper.

I guess I have to give her the benefit of the doubt but they seemed to be offering her Gaviscon and I don't know if she took it. Just seems a shame that Amelie didn't get a good celebration but she is a Grand Slam champion now so they can't take that away from her. Now come on Roger. I like Marcos but I think Roger can make history and I hope he does:D

Baghdatis played well for the best of the first two sets though.

Federer is crying...

What a great player and personality.

Yeah, really emotional presentation. Good on him! Congrats to both players.

Do you think Federer will break records of Pete Sampras ?

I do.

Looks like he will. I reckon he will sweep the four Grand Slams in a year during his career as well.

If he stays healthy I think he might. He will surely be the favourite at Wimbledon for years to come. I don't know about the Grand Slam. With so many clay court specialists around who kind of disappear the rest of the year, it will be hard for him to win the French. But he has a better chance than Sampras did. He may win the French one year, but not sure about the Grand Slam. I hope he does though.

Glad Marcos played to the finish even though he was fatigued and had cramp adn knew "winning was impossible". Would have still liked to have seen Justine tough it out to the end yesterday.

Federer is the "perfect" professional imo. He works very hard and respects his opponents. Trophies really mean something to him, especially Wimbledon. He's a very modest, down to earth and friendly guy, and lives a normal life with his girlfriend, dont remember one bad story about him or that he went OTT.
Wish more athletes were like him!

Federer is light years ahead of the other male players. On his off day he is able to defeat the others. His all round ability is stunning. However his dominance will make male tennis a bit of a bore. There is simply no match for Fed Ex.
