If you're going to be picky, then you'll notice that Pele only gets space because Moore is dealing with another phase of the attack. In my video you see Pele getting completely shut out in his 1 v 1 battles with Moore.

I also feel that 99% of that goal is down to Jairzinho, anyone could have made that pass (and you don't have Jairzinho).

Ah okay, my bad. I forgot that I had told pele to tightly mark moore for the duration of the match and not drift away to create movement.

But you are right, I don't have Jairzinho. If only I had a multi balon d'or wing forward, renowned for cutting in from the wings against a below average defender who has had two good seasons in his career at fullback. But that would never happen in a draft match.

So the legendary moore led defense got caught out with a pass anyone can make? I wonder what kind of damage would stoickhov, pele and kalle inflict on it.

I think the difference in this game is the creativity and skill of Laudrup, that no one on the other side will be able to match.

The midfield battle is close with 4 great defensive midfielders on both side, but we have a genius in Laudrup, who will be able to unlock the defence with these beautiful types of passes:

Also brilliant at escaping man markers as shown here:

Our side is more offensive, and as we've seen over the years, these types of sides tend to get the better of defensive minded sides over 90 minutes.

Let's also not forget about Bryan Robson, Captain Marvel himself. The ultimate box to box midfield, and the energy that he provides going forward and back is crucial to this game.

I'd urge anyone that questions Hazard's ability in this game to have a look at Himannv's earlier post.

I think he's suffering from the fact that he's still playing, and in a few years time he'll be remembered in the 50/70m bracket.

He's easily top 10 players in the world, and at his peak probably top 5. He's unfortunate that he's playing in the same era as the two freaks (Ronaldo/Messi) and an era dominated by statistics.

He has practically dragged Chelsea to titles in the last few years, almost a one man team at times.
I agree with this. Probably won't get a fair reception until he's retired.

Agree with most of it except the '''practically dragged Chelsea single handedly part" which is really exaggerating it.

All of Chelsea's league winning teams have had lots of big contributors and among the other title winners, I have always rated Chelsea's starting 11s the most even without too much relying on a player or two.

@Jim Beam why do you think his attack is better than ours? It also depends on who they're up against.

Moore is clearly a better defender than McGrath and I think our 2 centre backs make a better pairing. Pele himself said Moore is the best defender that he's ever faced.

I think Romario becomes even better in this game as he has a proven, devastating partnership with Laudrup, let alone the best right winger of all time.

Names, tbh. Pele is Pele and has fantastic support alongside him. Now, looking overall I think it evens out and I don't think his midfield will dominate at all. Also rate Hazard pretty high, I mean there is strong case he will go down as greatest Chelsea player if he stays with them (already in top 3 for sure). You did lose Giggs workrate, but I still feel Hazard will give hard time to Panucci going forward.

As I said, all together pretty even for me. Btw. anyone know if Lothar and Sammer ever played together in midfield during their time?

Looks like this is a done deal. We always knew this was a tough matchup with Pele and Rummenigge against our defense and that midfield. I feel we had a great little team and we built a great unit without the major stars. I think we made a mistake with our lineups and the Alaba purchase in the end but all in all I think we did quite well for two relative newbies.

I stick by what I posted about Hazard. I think he's severely underrated because he's currently playing, but he's a top top player on the whole IMO.

Well done @MJJ good luck in the rest of the draft!

Hazard is brilliant and it was a great post about him, he probably is(like 90% modern players) underrated although he really fails a bit short against the top dogs. Needs more spectacular games outside PL, doesnt help he plays in a rigid and defensive team with very little help but still, if he wants to compete at all-time level he will need to overcome that.

Cheers guy, you got unlucky with alaba vs kalle but it was a great team which was reflected in the votes I think. Nice flow to the match.

@Ecstatic please few thoughts on this one..

Another nice game. Great efforts from both sides.

It was mandatory to make 2 subs play so MJJ took a GK while Will/Himann had to use both Alaba/Hazard...playing on the same wing.

So, MJJ had a competitive edge in a certain sense. If they didn't play the 1st game, it means that Will/Himann also belong to the camp "Let's underrate Hazard and Alaba in these RedCafe drafts"!
