Lindelof passing from deep has created a few notable assists, so I think he will be fine passing from deep...United don't need him to be running to the corner flag and whipping in a cross.

And its very rare that AWB gets a cross right, Dalot is slightly better going forward but tbh its not a massive difference is it.

I just don't see any real reason why we've shoehorned an additional CB in to that side. We've either got Sancho at RWB or Lindelof at RB. Either way, Dalot would surely be better suited to the role?

No evidence that he can cross from wide I would agree but he hits 3 or 4 beautiful long passes most games that he starts and he is far more comfortable running with the ball than either Dalot or AWB so there is that. If he has been tried there in training and shown he can cross it then maybe RR is about to pull off a master stroke.

I don't think he will move forward and cross a lot. His ability to play those long passes to Rashford in front of him could make the right wing the "fast/counter attack" lane today, while Shaw/Sancho on the left would play a more posession-based style.
