Why not just stop people making their profile and post history private?

Seems excessive and unnecessary
Yeah, not sure what purpose it serves. It's not like you have to put personal info in your profile.

Anti privacy is always a weird stance to me.

Mind your own business weirdos.

I think it’s more weird and suspicious that people want to hide their profile and post history on a football forum.

As @Cheimoon said; you’re not forced to put your personal information on so if you don’t want to, don’t.

It's not like you can't see most of the profile info and their post history anyway. Unless they've loads of nonsense posted on their profile they'd rather people didn't see.

Who cares. You can get their post history by typing their name in the search box.

I dunno, I think privacy as a default is quite natural urge.

Suspicious? Clock off dude.

Although, that said, having never thought about user profile info before now I'm suspicious of you lot who want to snoop.

Oh, yeah, I agree. Privacy is important. I just don't get why, on here, you'd put your profile on private.

Or am I not getting what's happening? Cause my understanding is that you can only block your profile for everyone. In that case, you might as well have put nothing there in the first place. Maybe it's in case people are creating annoying posts on your profile, or have posted stuff in the past that you don't want to be seen? Cause I suppose blocking your profile would be the only solution to that.

Suspicious you say….

Maybe we should both clock off

Absolutely,, but I blame you. It was all fine before you insinuated innocent citizens of the caf were wrong uns because they didn't want you snooping. Now I'm wondering what eise goes on that my super sleuth mind misses.

I’m planting evidence with @Big Andy as we speak. Just looking at who can be fitted up.

This has already revealed plenty.

I just tried to post a quote in which a bracketed number follows a bracketed letter. This seems to break the forum software in some way that prevents the post from being posted. This seems to be the case for any pair of filled brackets that sit next to each other. (bilbo baggins) and (balbo biggins) doesn't work without the "and". Nor does it work if "and" is replaced with the operators + / *

Obviously this doesn't happen often, but any reason why this should be?

Tagging @Niall

All the options above text box (bold, smilies etc) are greyed out.

Is there anyone on the site that has ever clicked the watch button on a thread and opted to have e-mail notifications when someone replies to the thread? Seems like a pointless extra click when opting to watch a thread.

Which era in history are these 'identities' from? Can we get some that are relevant today?

The caf won't load on my work laptop anymore. Gives an HTTP 400 error.

Happens both at work and at home, so it's not network related.

Yes I browse the caf at work, but only about 6 hours out of the 8.

@Niall can we have more threads shown under the "Football" tab? 20 threads aren't enough. They barely last 5-10 minutes on the front page.

Does the General Forum still exist? I can't see it anymore despite being logged in.
Have you put the person who created it on ignore?

I didn't think the Caf had a Ukraine invasion thread but it just turned out I had the person who started it on ignore.

Maybe the wrong thread but how did fearless not get banned for telling a Jewish poster ‘keep the lights on for the Luftwaffe’??? Anti semitism racism is fine as long as your an israeli supporter?

Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere (I have had a look but couldn't see it) - is there any possibility of getting the limit on the amount of tweets stored on the automated thread increased? I think it's like 40? I generally log on at the end of the day and end up missing loads of them
