Ashley Cole at Utd?

If he weren't such a cnut with high wages, I'd be okay with him coming here.

In defense of Cole, there's been talk of his decline for the last couple of years, but I do think that he still has something to offer. Last season people were saying he was past it and when it really mattered late in the season, he was outstanding for Chelsea and arguably one of their best players.

NO!.But it's all rubbish anyway.

Agreed, can not see him wanting to come here, any more than many of us want him to come.

Oh, hang on its Cashley, nothing matters except the cash.

He is still a great player, and he is still a complete t**t

I still don't think Evra has been class, I think this seasons goal return is masking over his issues for a lot of people.

Still some issues with tracking back and being a bit lazy to close down crosses but there has been a marked improvement even in those departments this season.

Scholes and Giggs have been at the club since they were kids and part of his golden generation, there's a bit of a difference. They're also still doing well in an area where the club is short on quality.

Plenty of good players have been shown the door over the years when better or younger replacements gave come along.

They weren't shown the door like that automatically, most of the time it's them who wanted to leave to get more playing time or they had a proper falling out with SAF.Giggs, Scholes and Neville (probaby not the best examples I could have ever come up with tbh) never really wanted to leave at any point.
I can see Evra retiring at United if he accepts a part time role as he'll get older and if he was to leave, no way it'd be to play in a country where a lot of people hate him.

Evidently he's been playing then. I've only seen highlights.

Maintain what I think re Rafael, great going forward, exciting to watch this season, in a team that's conceding far too many goals. Needs to find the balance.

He (Fabio) hasn't just been playing, he's done really well.

We'll see.

I maintain that Fergie wont keep a player around just because he wants to stay. The likes of Giggs and Scholes still have something to offer but I don't doubt that when the time comes they'll be encouraged to retire gracefully.

If he sees a chance to improve his sqaud, he'll take it, because that's what good managers do, and that's what Fergie has always done.

I don't think he would go for a Cole or Baines because Evra wants to go or will agitate to leave - I think it's a possibility because Baines and Cole are, for my money, better players. If that is the case, with Fabio probably coming back and Buttner there he might then choose to try and move Evra on.

Not sure this needs to be even discussed.

This is never gonna happen. Why do we even need him at that wages. This look a 1000 times more improbable than RVP looked.

Wonder what all that nonsense on the PSG site was all about then. Odd...
