Ashes I - 2013 - In England

 Why do they keep bowling short? Agar has hit them every time hasn't he?

He cuts, pulls, leaves and defends. He is a proper batsman.

Yes they have akash. I don't dislike smith, just the way he was selected (if he's in then why not nick maddenson). Hughes fair play has played a real test type knock and good on him. Siddle stopped bowling short and tool wickets.

Can't say I'm not happy after this crazy stuff though

Hopefully Flower gives everyone a bollocking and we can knock over Australia quickly. Agar bats 8 for Western Australia, looks promising batting wise. Looks like it will be a one innings shoot out but Agar will probably rack up a 100 knowing England .

He hardly got a score for Henley CC a month ago, either.

This is Tino Best 95 all over again.

Fantastic session. Great burst from Anderson to start the day and then poor bowling and decent batting has put Australia right back in this game. Agar should bat up the order.

He was batting 3 so they must have seen something in him at Henley. He has 3 First Class 50's and he's only been playing for this year.

Agar looked excellent. I had goosebumps watching some of that play from today.

Athers calling Gower a number 11 and Gower's nonplussed expression at that being the cherry, of course.

His style is very very similar to Yuvi. Pulls and drives like him.

This always happens with England, struggle to get the tail out, this is why they lack that ruthless edge and is stopping them from becoming a great team:mad:

Cook's strategy was awful.

Yeah, obviously he's no mug (although you'd expect a test player to be doing well at that level) but he didn't seem to get any real big scores and I don't think that quite translates to smacking a test bowling unit all over the park.

Haven't seen a single yorker to Agar, really wonder what goes through some of these bowlers heads.

10 matches, 33 average before this. In the words of Lehmann, "gives it a good thwack".

Oh look, and another test match record for a high score for a number 11 set against England.
