Ashes I - 2013 - In England

Why would they not want another over anyway

Lunch extension at the worst possible time.

Aye, I've heard this before. One of my friends is huge into cricket and he hates all the other formats (one-day and 20/20 I think they are?).
Yeah, you can get exciting games to an extent but they're not as good as tests IMO.

Thrilling session. England had it all but won but credit to the Aussies who are, somehow, still in this. Brilliant stuff.

Problem is, I've to go out running but I want to see how it ends. Dilemma!

Finn has just been fecking useless. Two disgraceful overs, rubbish fielding and a dropped catch. As for Joe Root's attempted 'throw'... bottlers.

Was Bairstow.

my bad, was a terrible throw. Aussies have played really well, apart from Finn I think our bowling has been fine. Swann's gone for a few but had some beat the bat, and broad has been tight. Need Anderson to conjure up something after lunch.

The vitriol from Finn can only be from part time Cricket watchers.

Shit happens

I'm one of the hugest Finn fans around but that hour from him today was absolute dog shite. He's struggled ever since his run-up problems in New Zealand and you just knew he'd be expensive this morning.

I was glad he got the nod over Bresnan to start with but since his two wickets at the start of Australia's first innings he has done nothing except give away about 70 runs of freebies bowling absolute utter shite.

In his defence, this slow, low pitch is not good for a strike bowler relying on pace and bounce but you have to be able to play in conditions that don't naturally suit you.

Oh god, my Dad has just walked in and declared this 'like a 20/20 game'. :(

Get the extra over in and try to get the wicket. If you want to delay the game, do it in a less obvious way by changing the field, not taking your shoe off.

Not sure it matters really. Tactics are a big part on test cricket. Certainly not pathetic.

Surely there are more inventive methods of time wasting than taking your shoe off? Taking your shoe off seems to be the most common

Great game so far.
