ashes 2 ashes series 3 CONTAINS SPOILERS - Don't open if you haven't seen the finale

Come on, don't tell me no one is keeping track of this, it's absolutely marvellous.

Uptown girl was hilarious.

Yeah i've been watching it, didn't see a thread on it here before.

Love the Gene Genie, and Ray really came into his own in that last episode. I like how at the end of each episode and each person makes up their mind to stay with Hunt they play a clip of Life on Mars.

Not a spoiler just my opinion, but they seem to be building to a Gene Hunt killed Sam Tyler finale. Hopefully that's a ruse and a twist is coming.

Yeah looks like it. I think there's a reasonable explanation for it, but they are trying to blame him, like in LOM S02E07 (I think)

Loving this series. I'm desperate to know what happened with Gene and Sam!

I really hope he crops up in it somewhere

Yeah me to!

Considering how amazing Life on Mars was, I think Ashes to Ashes has done brilliantly to come so close to it. It could have easily been a big dissapointment, but it hasnt been at all.

perhaps it will turn out they are on a space ship and its all been a dream whilst they are in hyper sleep...

Life On Mars was amazing, really didn't get into the first series of Ashes to Ashes at all but this one has been brilliant so far

I've got this theory that all the numbers Alex has been looking at, 6-6-20, is actually the date, and they're in a spaceship flying to Mars. The people who wrote the American version asked the British version's makers how they were going to end the whole thing, and they told them. That'd explain why everyone keeps seeing stars, and Ray's comment about being like an astronaut last night.

I'd cry if that was the ending. It'd completly ruin it.

They won't....they've all come out and said they hated the US ending...the line about astronauts was an in joke I'm sure.

Like Boosh said, loved LOM, but the first series of Ashes was weak in comparisson.....having watched this one, it's certainly picked up and gone back to what made LOM so good...it should be building up to something really good and quite dark between Gene and Keats...whatever Gene said to moustache man from Hyde shook him up...I look forward to ep.8 a lot. Final ending of both Lost and LOM coming within a few weeks of each other = must see epic TV

Yer i thought that, life on mars still shits on it though. My theory is that dead copper you see was killed or hurt with sam involved and gene helped him fake his death

Another quality episode tonight, really enjoying this series at the moment

Looks like next week we'll get to learn what happened to Sam

Any of you bought the
"I am Sam" story?
whoever is the actor, he did it pretty well. Really confusing.

fecking great TV.

Brilliantly made episode...The way they filmed Hunt and Keats in their "leading the riot squad" scenes was triffic...."I'm forever blowing bubbles" was eiree as feck too...we're getting there. I'm still holding out for Simm to make an appearance, but I highly highly doubt it.

So I take you didn't buy Thordy's story.

i didn't realise there was a thread about this - season 3 is outstanding, and gene hunt must be one of the most interesting characters, ever, imo.

i just can't work out how it will end ( satisfactorily ) but as long as gene sees off keats, i'll be happy - he's such a greasy individual.

Thordy's full of shit by the way, he said he died in 2005, but Sam didn't even go back in time until 2006.

Lots more reference to seeing stars in the last episode. No idea how the series will end but I'd love to see Sam again, unlikely as it may be

It looks more like Simm may return after tonights episode, should be a brilliant ending after this episode.

I saw Ray on the tube yesterday. Just thought I'd throw that in there...he got on the Victoria Line at Green Park.

I rule!!
