I hope he gets the treatment he deserves.
Great player for UTD but a disgrace to the Irish Football team and its fans. Now where does that leave me??

Gobshite. I hope he gets the treatment he deserves. Whats that supposed to mean? Every Irish red at Old Trafford will boo him? He'll get the treatment he deserves alright and just like so many other Irish men before him he won't get that level of support in his own country.

60% in the Irish Independent Poll and 67% of the Radio 1 Poll on RTE did not agree with what he did.
I think it was an utter disgrace what he did for Ireland and its not the point whether Mick McCarthy or Pope John Paul the second is managing the team.
I hope he never gets the chance to wear the Irish Green again as he does not put any Value in it.

Baz, most of the Irish radio sations had national phone ins about the Keane issue and on every one he was backed by more than 60%. Same on the Times. Plus he was backed 100% in the PRC.
People have been very sceptical of McCarthy since the Irwin issue. Plus veryone witnessed the commitment of Keane in the qualifiers. It hhad nothing to do with him not wanting to represent his country and you sound very naive when you say that. I was personal between him and McCarthy and ubfortunately the idiot had the final say in sending our greatest player ever home.

the Irish football team would have been watching the WC from a pub if it wasn't for Keane.

Trust me, Baz's 'statements' are not representative of anybody I know. I can't believe this guy is Irish.

Ok, let's talk about this on a football level. Is he the best midfield player in England? Hmmmmm, I don't think so..... Is he the most inspirational midfield player in England? Of course!
Discuss that!

So were you listening to Sportscall last Night with Des Cahill where the callers were laughing at the way Keane has made this statement about playing for Ireland Under a different manager.
Did you hear the chants from the Irish Fans on the Terraces in Japan??
Did you read Tom Howard in yesterday's Sunday Tribune, or Tom Humphries in The Irish Times on Saturday, One of McCarthey's Buggest critics? All Reflecting the mood of the Nation. Only Roy Curtis in The Sunday World Yesterday said that the Nation were split 50:50 on the Keane affair.
Roy Keane should not judge the mood of the Irish Nation off the Tolka Park game where it was 100% Utd Fans.
I put Ireland before Man Utd, and put Gaa before Soccer. I admire great Sportsmen who have put on the Green of Ireland from Kevin Moran to John Aldridge from Sonia O Sullivan to Eamon Coughlan, from Liam Brady to Christy Ring, but what Roy Keane did was wrong. He might have brought us to the World Cup, but Football is a team sport and Keane walked out on his team, a team he was captain of and when given the chance to return he gave the Irish People and his Team mates the two fingers.

He wanted to retire from International Football so Leave it like that, Even Ferguson wanted him to retire. So why this big thing about wanting to play International Football again. As a Man Utd Fan I would be delighted for Keane putting 100% into Man Utd.

You have just answered your own question! If it was 100% United fans in attendance and he recieved 100% full support then you have no arguement.
I'm from Norway, I know what I'm talking about.

Yeah right.
