Arturo Vidal

I went to Juve forum and read some posts and here it was one talking we can't operate the plane itd. And i was off.

I always thought Juve fans are good/classy.

Give the amount of English used on a forum for an Italian team,I'll venture a guess that theses aren't really real Juve fans. Probably scousers posing as Juve fans or something.

I feel sorry for real juve fans if that lot have latched onto them. What a bunch of shithouses

I'm sure they'll excuse it as 'banter'. Shame, I liked Juve as a club, didn't realize they have wanker fans. :(
Tried to excuse it by mentioning -39 stickers being placed on their stadium. You'd assume they'd know that Heysel was feck all to do with us.

To aim a dig about Munich at United fans because of Heysel is the definition of retarded.

Tell Narek to tell his mates that making fun of Munich makes them look like a right bunch of bitter cnuts.
I don't have an account over there. I've just been reading through as a guest.

After the initial knob head posted about Munich quite a few called him out on it, to be fair. A few have laughed at his comments since though, disgustingly.

It's a forum pretty much exclusively for foreign Juve fans who don't speak Italian so it's obviously going to be full of ignorant plastics and idiots.

Not that all foreign football fans are idiots mind, but they need a forum posting alongside local fans to keep the looney ones in check and the ignorant ones educated.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I can only assume that these "fans" are a bunch of scousers that joined the Juventus crew to celebrate winning something for once while using the excuse of "tragic solidarity" to justify their new favourite club.

Either way, still cnuts, and we'll have your player, thanks.

So glad that we're all discussing Arturo Vidal and the merits of signing him. Great stuff.

Strootman is more of a holding midfielder isn't he, or is he box-to-box too? Imagine a midfield trio of Vidal-Strootman-Herrera  We'd go from having one of the worst midfields in the world (among big clubs) to perhaps the best, with 3 extremely good tacklers, creative all-rounders. Nightmare to play against.
Strootman is a box-to-box, although his stature and technique could allow him to be honed into a holding midfielder.

Jaysus grow up. A few kids on an English speaking Juve forum are sour because they might lose a good player. Let them at it.
I was joking. I was referring to the fact that the 'Arturo Vidal' thread had turned into a 'let's slag off the Juve forum' thread.

Would be sweet if we got both of them. Our static midfield has annoyed me for years, so I'm thrilled that we seem to be zoning in on dynamic box-to-box players. And Vidal's become my favorite player this past year, the man's a fecking force of nature.

That completely contradicts itself does it not? If he's saying no new news then does he reckon a deal has been close for a while now?
I think he just knows shit all to be fair.

I used to wonder whether we're biased and using double standards when calling opposite fans 'classless' but it came to the point I'm sure United fans are classy compared to some others. Juve fan that mocked the Munich air disaster... If that happens on here with the reverse situation, not one poster would have laughed, like or even show neutral attitude towards it. The poster in question would have been banned immediately with his fellow fans bollocking the shit out of him. Rightfully so.

On that excuse for a football forum (the Juve one) I've seen 3/4 posters laughing their heads off at the 'joke' with what, 4/5 telling him off? That's in two pages I've quickly glanced at. Him using 'the retarted monkeys' wording (about us) is in fact a little bit ironic.

The Caf is very good for those type of things but United fans in general aren't.

Considering we sing about Liverpool fans being murderers at least once every game, regardless of whether we're playing them or not. I dare sare on other boards you'll get a lot of distasteful shite spouted as well. Thankfully the mods on here keep a lid on it and the general crowd is amiable.

If Vidal was our last signing would that have made it a great summer for United?

Not really. Vidal to me would be the best possible signing we could make right now but I can't help but to think we need one more defender. If we also get just one good winger it would make it the perfect summer.

Yes, provided we also purge the deadwood. I'd look for other squad improvements in January.

It would make it a great summer if we can get a top class winger to go with Vidal and maybe a CB.
I'd take a top CB first. Our defence as is could be very shaky. Our wingers are likely to look much better too, with a much improved midfield supporting them, and hopefully a fit RvP cynically banging in every half chance he gets.

If Vidal was the only signing it would still make a fantastic summer.

Smalling, Evans and Jones as our only real defenders, just asking for trouble, I won't be happy if we only get Vidal, we definitley need a CB, doesn't have to be a big name (altough that be nice) but we need somebody.

Yes. Now that there's a sniff of a midfield-solving signing plenty of here seem to have decided to go into City mode and demand a new star for every position.

Vidal, Herrera and Shaw would constitute a truly superb transfer window. The CM problem which has been getting worse and worse for four or five seasons emphatically solved, and a brilliant long-term replacement for Evra acquired.

Yes, there are minor problems elsewhere - retirements leaving us a little thin at CB, and too many poor or out of form wingers. But not every problem needs money throwing at it. With the two big ones solves - CM and LB - the entire squad will start to look much better. And where there are holes to fill, our burgeoning ranks of youth talent can be used. Wings? Lingard and Lawrence. More numbers to back up our three senior CBs? Keane and Thorpe are well due their chance to impress. Back-up to Rafael? Varela looks ready, to me. These aren't foolproof solutions but they're the sorts of solutions that work when you've fixed the big issues, like your central midfield and your manager.

We don't have to buy an established top player for every position. That's what City and PSG do. We had to solve the big problem from last season, the manager, and we've done that. We have to solve the big problem from the last few years, the central midfield, and Vidal's signing would thoroughly do that.

So yes, I'd be happy. I'd be ecstatic.

The 3 best leagues are clearly England, Spain and Germany, Italy getting further behind in 4th. The french league is poor (and the bottom half teams would probably struggle in the Championship) and rated 6th behind Portugal. Even though the best teams in Spain and Germany are top class the remainder are not, especially Germany. United thrashed Leverkusen for example when they weren't playing well last season. No other top class league has 4, 5 or 6 teams competing for the title

6 teams in England potential title winners? Get a grip. Only 5 teams ? have ever won the premier league in 20 odd years

Funniest thing about that Juve forum is that they're constantly sending messages to people here and they're immensely bitter as if we've just signed half of their squad.

As much as I couldn't really give a shit about this transfer before and didn't get my hopes up at all, I do hope that we sign Vidal purely for a chance to sit comfy in my chair, pop a bottle, witness their meltodown and feck them right in the pussy.
