I wouldnt write off the possibility of Van Gaal turning Cleverley into a very good player just yet. Obviously not going to bet my house on it but this is what he has a reputation for doing, making average or quite good players into much better ones. Cleverley seems like the best candidate for that by a mile to me.

Cleverley or Welbeck.

Yeah, to say he has "no qualities" is obviously tripe. He has some excellent qualities, a lot of them related to his actual ability, but has been founding badly wanting in other areas, largely to do with mentality. You'd hope mentality is something that can be altered.

32m would be insane. I can't possibly see them letting him go for that. They could get twice that for Pogba.

That source is no more reliable than the ones saying we've bid 50m, 40m, 45m or that we're not even going to bid for another 48 hours. I doubt anyone really knows.

Even SolidShite doesn't know for sure.

Also, to anyone from the Juve forum reading this, until a fortnight ago Vidal was up there with Messi in the 'unattainable' bracket. None of us here really believe this is a done deal imo.

I find it mental that some people wonder if 32m for a 27 world-class midfielder is a good deal. We won't get him for that money but this idea that he has only 3-4 years in him is crazy.

Grazie. Per favore, mi puoi dire dove il negozio toilette è?

Vidal è un buon giocatore. Lui davvero punge come casella per casella uomo.

Grazie molto

32m pounds will be actually a fantastic deal for us, but I think that we'll pay much more if we'll really sign him. Around 45m would be my bet.

I think that Juve is more willing to sell him than Pogba. Juve need cash and currently both of them would bring them around the same amount. However, while Vidal after 3 years won't bring them more than 10m or so, Pogba would go then easily for 50m+ (probably much more if the prices continue getting inflated).

Exactly. Vidal gonna be great for at least 6 more years. If at some point he want to slow down or can't keep up with his usual style, he can be converted as a deep lying playmaker, or even to a more advanced playmaking role up high on the pitch. Running all day, stamina, strenght, is just one side of Vidal game. He is too good... and if we sign him, he will be a game changer. No other outcome.

If he's available for so little there's no way we'd be able to sign him so easily.

Every big, rich, CL club will be after him for that price.

Who cares how many years he'll have in him, it's not like he's 30 already. If he helps us win trophies and consistently progress deep into the latter stages of the Champions League, 32m is a bargain for a world class midfielder.

Barcelona just seem to have paid £75 million for a world class striker, and midfielders generally tend to have a bit more longevity. So yes, £32 million would be a steal.

Why does everyone assume that every club in the world will go for player X if he's available. It might be possible that we are the only ones in for Vidal and that Madrid, PSG, Barca, Munich are not interested right now. Sure he's a world class player but so was Juan Mata, and it seems like we were the only club that were negotiating for Mata.

If by any sort of Miracle this guy only costs £32million then there is a higher chance of us bagging another World class player with him.

Why do Juventus need the money anyways?

Don't know, they getting iturbe and morata for a decent sum of money. They also backed away from the sanchez transfer due to his wage demands mostly. They haven't sold any big players in the past 5 years. But the assumption has always been that they will consider selling for a good offer.

Mata was different. There are loads of number 10s out there, and every top club in the world already had one. Gotze, Iniesta, Di Maria, Isco, Ozil etc etc. Vidal is different. How many of his type are out there? I can definitely see others wanting in at that price.

Off the top of my head, they are around 170 Million EUR in debt, wages/turnover is north of 80%, so they can't really afford to spend too much without offloading someone significant. They received money for Immobile and I think Quagliarella is on his way to Torino and freeing up approx. two million in wages, but spending around 45 Million EUR on Morata and Iturbe is huge for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Juve are trying to work out which one will raise the most money between Vidal and Pogba, sort of a bidding war but with two players and possibly multiple clubs.

I was away when we signed Ander Herrera but did try to catch up when I returned. Hasn't today got some similarities? Pretty quite over here but media in the country where the player is based reporting a deal is close?

A little but in Italy they are not reporting a deal is close... Just Chile and it was only one paper but its a start

I imagine a few people have better connections with Vidal etc in Chile, however I still refuse to believe...
