Arda Güler | Real Madrid player

Is he better then that Brahim fella?
A lot better, Guler has the potential to be the best Turkish player of his generation, imo at any other club he would be getting more minutes it's just Real Madrid are so stacked in attack it's difficult to break through.

Thanks bud. I hope we're in for him - though i see him very similar to Amad. Would either be as effective as the "RAM" in Amorims system? We can always use Amad at RWB albeit, we seem heavily linked to Quenda.

Think they’ll sell Brahim first to give Guler more minutes, although I’ve seen reports that they see him as an 8 long term

He's tailor made for one of the no.10 positions, i don't think there would be much issue with him and Amad in the same team, they can both be 10's or Amad can play RWB, it's good to have several good players that can rotate too. If he's available for a reasonable fee i don't see much downside in signing him.

Absolutely.

He'd also be an excellent option I think if they get rid, but there's rumours that City put an outrageous sell-on % clause in the deal if Real ever sell him direct to United.

I'd imagine he'd be hot property if he did become available

I´ve seen Amad drift to the left, and do so without really losing much. Even if he looks a bit extra dangerous cutting in from the right.
I think all of the mentioned players here are talented and versatile enough to play different positions to a high level.

Yeah, and more importantly, they all have the ability to hold onto the ball in tight/compressed spaces and beat their man - which is something we've lacked for a while.

It sadly is a valid concern for our team.

We are severely lacking in physicality. Great player though, maybe a loan could work for all parties.
Don't really need physicality for his position though I get what you're saying. Very smooth operator, similar to Amad but he's touted to have a very high ceiling. Don't see Madrid letting him go for cheap and if they do they will surely have some kinda buy back clause.

We need more than two good players.

Get Arda in. You'd have Amad, Arda and Bruno to fight for the two AM positions.

Get Quenda in. You'd have Amad, Quenda to fight for the RWB position.

It does not HURT to have more than 1 good player per position. Also, with Arda and Amad in, you can have more flexibility by using Bruno as CM in games.

You do need a good presser though. The entire midfield 4 in this system have to be difficult to play against. I don't know is he?

We definitely need good options so we can both rotate and survive injuries, but, we are also in a situation where we need a new first choice goal keeper and a top level striker, we really need another defensively strong and versatile cm, and we probably need another cb as well. Not an easy spring and summer for the guys in charge of these decisions.

I don’t think you people have really seen him play that much. Can’t help but feel he’ll play for some mid Turkish club in a year or two tbh. He is very lightweight, not particularly fast or outstanding in any area of the game.

He's another left footer isn't he? Seems to be all we are linked with these days. Looked outstanding in his breakout season in Turkey but has gone off the radar majorly. I hope he's another Odegaard. Not every top young player is going to make it at their first big club

I've only seen him play in the euros, thought he was good

Not enough to judge him on to be fair

It can end being a great bet, the thing here it's the sum involved. Madrid can ask the money they want, yet at the same time a loan might work better for all parties involved.

It's crazy how players like this get so much hype but Garnacho gets so much hate.

Guler has done nothing in La Liga & a pure Fifa player.

He had played quite an ammount of games as a sub having great goals and cameos last season, he had a couple of entire games where he played really well too and he had a very good to great Euro.
This season he looks like his confidence it's quite a bit lower and Carlo's press conferences messages does not look promising. It feels that he doesn't like how the young lad it's managing his life outside the pitch and maybe questioning in consequence his preparation for those few minutes he'll have given the strength and options avaiable in the team.

I think that his atributes, style, age and his more than probably will to show himself in the biggest stage given how hard it's to do that in Real it's what makes him an attractive bet.
In terms of atributes, he is a dribbler, he is light and smooth, he has an eye for progressing passing and he has some goals in him for an off mid when he showed his best form.

All in all a loan might be the best, yet he also would need to be promised first team, even failing at first to gain his gallons, sthg hard to do. In such style there would be no price tag over his head, both Real and United can witness his progression.

It's an ideal situation for him given: how huge is United, how he will be task for sthg that only him can provide in this current United mid, that he is another kid with no background? nope, for sure nope.
Yet at the same time Real can't be that overload regarding players, United has said that they are not spending more money, so a loan can end being great or at worst it just didn't worked out.
