I'm finding it difficult to get into this, as per the norm with battle royale games. Feels like I don't have the patience to learn the ins and outs of these games anymore.
Honestly, this is a much simpler one than others. You can go to the legends screen and read esch one's powers to learn about them out of game.
One tip i'd give everyone, jump back into training until the point all of the weapons are out then practice with each one so you figure out which is best for you.
Yeah it is but I'm still struggling.
Didn't help that in my first game last night my (what should be perfectly capable) PC crashed to desktop, so I bailed.
Yeah they do have crashing issues which also happen on consoles too, I don’t think they expected to have nowhere near as many people playing it as they do
From what I've learnt so far, the gearing is really important, you cant get away with being "good" when your only using common armour/helm weapon attachments, you'll get annihilated by people in purple or better loot.
Best strategy ive found is Stay to the outskirts and dont hot drop, slowly build up loot in the less common areas while letting everyone kill each other off, then hopefully get a good position when your into the final 4 squads.

I would rather drop in and get stuck in to the gun fights/battles. If we dont win, no problem, just load up again. I cant do the slow approach. If im wandering around not seeing people and looting then die... I rage pretty hard.
Yeah this is exactly my tactics, whenever I hear gunshots I try to get to that area as soon as. The aggressive style of play suits me more than the slow building approach.
Bonus of dropping into more fights as opposed to skirting the edges is that you actually get better at winning them. Avoiding fights inevitably means you lose the final one.
Won again today. There's a chance I wouol have won twice because my mate and I had 3 kills each and wiped out two squads together, but as I was looting my game froze and crashed leaving him on his own, he ended up 4th.

Do you even get anything for winning except for a measly 900 xp? They don't even have a decent stat page.
I just got carried so hard to my first win. I did nothing other than have to be revived twice.

I somehow managed to do it again with a scarcely more credible 1 kill and 218 dmg
Just won a game with 1996 damage. So annoyed, 5 points away from getting the badge!

I prefer the devotion, f301 and spitfire, but I discovered the triple threat is amazing too if you can get your shots off quick enough.

This game man... That round was so intense I need to go do something else now to calm down, might even go outside.
It really is addictive as hell and great fun. I'm now at level 17 after two days of playing, before Thursday I couldn't even be bothered to play a video game for five months or so.
When we were waiting for our friend to get on last night we finished 2nd/3rd a few times, all those games were between 17-19 minutes and in all but one of them the 3rd member of our team managed to get 0 kills, 0 damage. I get being new at the game at all but how do you not even accidentally shoot someone in a 20 minute game?
Yeah, wingman is the heavy handgun, got two kills with it yesterday in a pinch.
I try and take it slow, go through every building to get as much as possible then flank if possible, if not then lots of cover.
Watched the twitch rival series, and all the pro's seemed to go with 2 of Wingman/Peacekeeper/Spitfire.
The most common team setup was Wraith, Bangalore and Bloodhound. - probably because the goal of the tournament was to get most kills in x hours, so all offensive legends.

Won a game but I was sour after it. Me and a teammate were level on 4 kills and we were both shooting the final enemy, he got the final blow so finished as kill leader. Prick!
Was weird yesterday, had two games in a row where I was in the champion spotlight but I'd only won the once. Was the centre person both times.
Also, why do decent players keep leaving before they even get knocked? had it happen 2-3 times yesterday and multiple more straight after knocked or ded.
Needs to be some system that makes it less worthwhile to do that.

Game just shuts down quite often, not sure if the problem is my pc or the game, but quite annoying that i can't rejoin the game when i start the game up again.
Yeh I'm getting this every now and against, just crashes to desktop, frustrating.
I've heard that the latest nvidia drivers cause Apex to play up a bit but it's probably the game.
It's crashed on ps4 for me a few times too.
Same. had 3 crashes yesterday, two of them with only a few other squads left. Was running perfectly before that. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon.

Yeah, every time it's crashed on me i've had a great start to the game and killed a few, first time it happened I was opening a death box and the other two times when I pressed start. It's annoying.
Yeah the Wingman and Peacekeeper are definitely the meta. I just don't think they suit my personal playing style, I often end up missing a lot of the shots whilst using them. I definitely back myself doing better using the EVA8-Shotgun vs the Peacekeeper.
I prefer the 301, Spitfire or the... ehm.. R-99(?).
Trying to get better with shotguns, but the Wingman is pretty much a no go for me, so far from my style as possible.

After installing this and doing the training on Wednesday night, I've played this quite a lot due to having Thursday and Friday off and then the weekend began. This game is so fecking awesome, especially when you're playing with really skilled guys, like a friend of mine is.
I'm at level 24 now, so I have the 12.000 legend coins to buy Caustic or Mirage. But I wont be playng at all for at least three weeks after tonight due to busyness, so I'm thinking about just saving them? Maybe they do an update and introduce a new legend in a couple of weeks, or else I can simply still buy one of them then.
Peacekeeper is my baby by the way, at least half of all my kills in total must've come from that thing. Though I've been mostly trying out other weapons over the last day. Yesterday things finally started clicking for me and we had so many games where we got very far or even ended up winning six or seven times, doing shiteloads of damage. What a game.

I’d wait as they’re apparently introducing new legends in March so might be best having coins ready then.
