Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

So I finally finished Chernobyl. What an incredible series. Like most people, I knew a little bit about the incident (just the basics, really) but did not know the true extent of it, or what it could have been. It was already bad enough what happened, but when you learn about what could have happened without the sacrifice of many people, then it really is chilling.

We're talking about millions of deaths and a large portion of the continent being inhabitable. Insane. Possibly my favourite mini series.

Do not go anywhere near ‘The woman in the house across the house across the street from the girl in the window’

It’s another Netflix grift designed to get you watching for six 50 minute slots. They do not care if you like things. They just want you watching.

It’s Fcuking abysmal. Hands down one of the worst tv series ever. It has zero redeeming qualities. Avoid.

Anyone finish season 3 of Killing Eve?
Need to just know if I should cut my loses with it. I really didn't enjoy season 2, and finished it simply because I felt I needed too, thinking it would get better.
Now, midway into the first episode of season 3, and it feels like more of the same. Urgh, really dropped off a cliff since season 1.

Season 3 continues on in the same direction of season 2. If you didn't like the latter, you really won't like the former.

I’ve been binging Pennyworth. Talk about characters having flaws. It’s Alfred the butler in 60s dystopian London as a young man who is ruthless after a stint with S.AS.

So I guess you didn’t love it?

I loved Killing Eve, but yeah objectively you should not watch season 3.

If you are into zombie series, "Kingdom" is truly amazing show.
It's a zombie apocalypse series, set in the medieval period and blends political thriller with zombie elements.
I fell in love with the cinema of South Korea recently, they really know how to make a movie and TV series (Forgotten, Strangers from Hell, Alice in borderland etc).

Snowpiercer has somehow made it onto a season three. Probably Sean Bean carrying it but the first episode came out today.
Made it through 5 or 6 episodes and binned it. Awful rubbish.

Really? I actually really enjoy snowpiercer and it's one of my favourite series' on netflix over the last few years. I've actually been waiting and excited for it's return and religiously watch the new episodes upon release.
I think when I first started watching it I had similar feelings about it being a bit slow and didn't overly get into it but the second season was brilliant and enjoying the third so far.

Surprised to find that there isn't much talk about it on here when I did a search. Great series in my opinion if you give it a chance.

Has anyone watched The Legend of Vox Machina? Is it another Arcane?

Saw it pop up on my Amazon a few days ago. Checked IMDB and it's got a high mark. Will be checking out out in the next few days.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of Pan and Tommy. It's more interesting than good. But that's still enough to keep me watching.

Also, Lily James is great.

Definitely not another Arcane. Nowhere near as good but watchable enough.

Has anyone watched The Woman in the Window watching The Girl across the Road? Or whatever it's called. I have a thing for Kristen Bell so I'll probably watch it even if it's crap.

You watched all of it?

Watched The Puppetmaster on Netflix last night really crazy true life story, opened ended finish as well, only fairly short 3 episodes long but well worth it.

This is scary as feck imo. How he could con people so well.

You would be really concerned someone like him would do it to a family member.

“All of us are dead” on Netflix. Another Korean zombie series that takes place in a high school. Very entertaining and great action stunts by the teen actors. Some good one-take scenes. Library scene especially is badass!

Just started Dr Death :

Pretty pedestrian so far, with only Christian Slater's character breathing a bit of life into it.

I absolutely loved this, what a pyscho feck.

I’m now listening to the podcast version season 3 with another utter feck up of a doctor, an Italian bloke working out of Karolinska here.

Really enjoyed Dopesick too, “only in America” innit.

Enjoyable enough. Not as good as Arcane, but not much this year has been imo.

Agreed, have now watched two episodes and trying to match it up with arcane is unfair. Without any silly comparisons it's decent enough and I will continue watching. Made me chuckle a few times.

Just finished watching season one of Arcane.

Absolutely fantastic!

I found the first episode and half a little slow and wasn't sure it was for me, so happy I stuck with it and as a whole it was fantastic and the early episodes were needed setup.

Highly recommend even if you aren't someone typically into animation and the game it is based on (I have no knowledge of the game). Great story with complex characters, by the end all sides have motivations you can empathise with.

Agree with this. It's cheesy trash but it's very entertaining.

Also, no way am I buying that pink top girl is supposed to a high school student. She looks about 30!

3 episodes into Reacher, and so far it's been decent. I'm expecting it to get better though, since I see it's an 8.8 on imdb.
Regardless, it's good enough just for some of the bashing faces scenes.

Could it be so highly rated simply because the book folk see it has a proper adaption of the books? Feels like it. Still, gives me Jack Ryan vibes, and enjoy it all the same.

I watched True Story on Netflix

Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes are the lead roles, it starts off quite intriguing but ultimately it fell a bit flat and I could barely be bothered finishing it

Kevin Hart should just stick to comedies with the rock

I've smashed through lost in space on Netflix and absolutely loved it.

It suspends reality even by sci fi standards but still very good drama and relatable characters especially the main family.
