Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Money Heist aka La casa de patel (2017 - 2020)

It is amazing. Never know this gem exist. It's a spanish series. There is an english dub version available. I enjoy listening to their original voices better. Story and cast are amazing. Characters are performed so well by the actors, it feels like they are very genuine when they express their emotions and feelings, it made you feel like rooting them. Every episode is nerve wrecking and you just had to watch the next episode immediately. It makes you want to know the continuation immediately as soon as one episode ends.

It's very gripping, but by the second season (third and fourth on Netflix) it becomes unbearably contrived, dragging badly and creating very cheap artificial drama constantly. In hindsight the first season is already littered with stupidity, but it can be forgiven for being the rollercoaster ride it is, even if unnecessarily padded at times.

Can't see myself finishing it bar a sudden surge of compulsive completionism.

Succession is amazing. Wonderfully written, amazingly acted, makes you feel interested in an array of despicable characters and engaged all the way through. Can't wait for season 3.

Awful, awful show. Poor writing, one dimensional cliche characters and stupid plot right from the first 5mns.

Elementary

Nice Sherlock show. Takes a few liberties, some work and others don't.

Good: Plenty of variations in plot. Once you get used to Sherlock/Watson, casting is good.
Bad: Ruined Mycroft & Moriarty.

Still quite engaging till S6. S7 takes a step down.

Tinstar -S3 Sky Atlantic. (Final Season)

Utopia (Amazon Prime). - not as good as the one from 5-6 years ago on C4

Arkansas ( Netflix film) loved this. Flaming Lips soundtrack.

Anyone seen Raised by Wolves? Any good?

Loved the final season of Tin Star. Rhymes With

On Netflix I liked Alice in borderland. A Japanese series based on an anime.

I finally finished TOP BOY series three. Ronan Bennett is such a good writer even the twist at the end of the final episode succeeded in catching me out.

After finishing Ratched which was really good. I'm watching Hunters at the moment on Prime. Al Pacino is brilliant in it. Very gripping straight From the start.

Death to 2020 is up on Netflix. It's basically Charlie Brookers Annual wipe, except with famous actors, more money and surprisingly not as good. Still enjoyable though.

Liked that 'Rashford Way' part. Was subtle

Raised By Wolves was good, bit bleak but still good.
On the last episode of Sweet Home on Netflix, crazy but fun take on the zombie genre with monsters instead.

Someone mentioned Hunted earlier, I’d second that series, very good.

Really missed Brooker's voiceovers and delivery of the jokes. Strange choice not to do them I thought.

done all 8 eps, just finished, it was excellent, finished on a cliff-hanger, but season 2 is in the works, don't normally watch if there is loads of subtitles, but it did not bother me watching this.

Yep, its set up nicely for a second season, glad you enjoyed it.

How far in are you?

I can assure you it gets really, really bad.
Re The Undoing:
That’s a bit strong.
We finished it last night. Though the end was off the acting was pretty good. It could have been written better but you can’t fault Grant and Kidman for that.
The Italian lady that played Elena, worth watching just for her:drool:

Where did you watch Tehran?
I can only find it on Apple TV here which I don’t have and I’m not up for subscribing to another service.

Have you taken the free trial of it yet? Everyone gets one week if I remember correctly, and you get a year free if you buy an apple product. Which you keep even if you return the product.

Apple TV, but I'd imagine it can be accessed from other not entirely legal providers on t'internet.....

No. I may do the free trial. I don’t have any new apple products nor do I intend to get one. Good to know though. Ta!

Liked Your Honor a lot but now I'm confused after 5 episodes if it will have more episodes or another season. Showtime website is no use. Anyone?

Sweet Home is nice so far (3 episode in) . Dredd with monsters. Some poor CGI, but I don't mind that anymore. At least there are some interesting monsters designs.

No love for the second season of Altered Carbon?! I personally njoyed it a lot.
