Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Watched a few episodes of Travels with my father (w/ Jack Whitehall) last night. His “Daddy”, old enough to be his grandad, is a stodgy, upper middle class, conservative Englishman vs the immature Jack.
Tbh, never heard of either of them before but the series is good for a few laughs.

Started watching Unbelievable on Netflix last night. Only got to watch the first episode but its absorbing.

Thought it was really well depicted how the Police make assumptions about the case and start framing their questions and conclusions to match their bias. They're never portrayed as bad cops, just people who jump to conclusions. You at least understand their logic and they are supportive to a point but its clear they have made their mind up that she is lying. It just made the whole back and forth so frustrating.

I think a good sign for how good a show is for me personally is how much me or my wife are likely to be looking at our phones throughout, and this was mostly gripping from beginning to the end.

Just started a French crime drama titled La Mante. Seems decent so far.
In Paris, police search for a psychopath whose murders are inspired by Jeanne Deber, known as "The Mantis", a famous serial killer who terrorised the country 25 years ago. Jeanne Deber offers her expertise to the police in order to help hunt the copycat. Placed in solitary confinement since her arrest, "The Mantis" has one condition: to deal only with Detective Damien Carrot, her estranged son. Damien has no choice, for a serial killer is on the loose and could strike anytime, anywhere in Paris.

La Mante was pretty good. On Netflix now.

Finished season 3 of GLOW. Definitely the weakest run of episodes so far. I'm not sure it suits being a hangout show in practise as much as it might have done in theory. Still, the chemistry between the cast is enough to keep things ticking along nicely enough and the story itself is pretty interesting. The last two episodes were great as well. Not exactly excited for season 4 but I'll watch it.

I made the huge mistake of watching S1 E1 of Friday Nights Lights the other day. I've finished it before, years ago, now I'm hooked again and likely to spend the next 2 months finishing it again despite having a pile of unwatched shows on my list.

You need to up your binge watching game! :)

I could finish Friday Night Lights in a week! :p

Binge watched The Spy, its good short series and anyone looking griping short series can give a try.

Undone on Amazon is excellent. Only eight episodes and they're about 25 minutes each, well worth a watch for the incredible animation alone, and the story is very trippy and poignant.

Loads of good to great shows have come out in the last few weeks. Unbelievable, Undone, Marianne and now Criminal United Kingdom and others.

Have you seen any of those three yet?

No, I'm just finishing Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. I've been hearing pretty great things about those shows from my friends who have the ability to just power through a whole season in one sitting.

Just finished into the badlands. One of the best shows I've ever watched. Just found out there's no 4th season because it got cancelled. I'm pissed.
