Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Are all seasons good? Or is there a Dexter/Lost-esque dropoff in quality?

Personally thought it started to go downhill in season 4 when Kellerman came in . Then season 5 had Jon Seda to make it worse and they just continued to cast actors for their looks rather than talent till it was finally cancelled.

The first three seasons though we're fantastic and Bayliss and Pemberton are still the best cop duo in TV for me

Me and the missus watched The Haunting of Hill House over the Christmas break. Thought it was really good for a horror series

Also I’ve never watched The Sopranos but always wanted too. I know I could just download it somewhere... but I’m kind of a collector of blu rays/DVD’s. Is it worth spending £50 on for the collection or should I watch it elsewhere first?

Spend spend spend.

Has anyone watched Future Man? I started it the other day and well finished it in 1 sitting just about. It’s hilarious well worth a watch. There is one episode where they just rinse James Cameron ruthlessly, and other episodes with hilarious one liners. Wolf is amazing.

You could potentially download a HD version but that would make you worse than Hitler so don't do it.

A great watch possibly barring the last episode, which you will probably love or hate as opinion seems divided.

IMO (and others will disagree) it wasn't quite up there with The Wire or Breaking Bad, but very close.

Salvation, another great series from the brilliant mind of Alex Kurtzman.

I'm literally dumber after watching it, but hey, that's the price for watching garbage.

He is best known for co-writing the scripts to Transformers, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness

I think this is an amazing take on Transformers, specifically the creative work done in the script

And now will also have even bigger hand in the new season of STD. :D

Great video there, but have to be near the volume control when Rich starts laughing.

He also wrote Amazing Spider-Man 2 iirc, along with directing that Mummy shitshow

This is the first time I saw her in something and I was impressed. Need to check out more of her stuff.

Who knew Mary-Kate & Ashley's younger sister will turn out to be the hotter and the more talented one.
You haven't seen the Avengers movies, or the most recent Godzilla movie? She s been in more things but those are some movies that were hard to avoid.

Wind River is another. Very good film and she is excellent in it

Anyone seen A Very English Scandal?
Has 94% on Rotten tomatoes with Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw as the leads
Saw this last night. Very good stuff.
Yer man Whishaw was quite good. Hugh Grant playing a different kind of character, for a change so enjoyed that.
The scenes when Grant first hooked up with Whishaw

Just started the 2nd season of Mike Judge presents: Tales from the tour bus. Shows about the history of music and the narrative is animated. 1st season about country, 2nd season is about funk. There are some incredible stories in there. Man, I just became a fan of Rick James watching S2E2 (two-parter). Really recommend it if you have the slightest interest in documentaries or musical history. Each episode is about 30 minutes and your musical taste is completely irrelevant to the viewing.

Odd question: Should I start Games of Thrones? :blind:

With all the hype around the final season this year, I am now thinking to jump on the bandwagon at the last minute. Somehow the hype had put me off before, thinking it cannot possibly be that good and is only hyped because of the production value, violence and sex. I did the same think with Breaking Bad until watching it last year, and now I regret that I only watched when everyone else had long moved on. It was indeed quite good. Does GoT have good storylines and character development in addition to the violence and sex? It has become such a staple of pop culture that there must be something to it. But it seems like a mountain to climb, given that there are 7 seasons.

For reference some shows that I watch or have watched and liked (in no particular order): The Wire (this is by far number one, though!), The Sopranos, Dexter (until season 6), Lost (f*ck you season 6!), House of Cards (skipped the final season), Breaking Bad, Orange is the new Black, The Man in the High Castle, Narcos.

The first 2 season are classic HBO quality, top notch dialogues, amazing TV.

It goes downhill after that, but at least with very good CGI and dragons and shit, including the odd quality moment or episode.

Yep, this is definitely a good moment to start watching.

I recently watched Community for the first time ever, and I absolutely loved it.
