Anyone else hate Oasis?

What really tops it up though is their hatred for United. Now I can understand that they are City fans and i've got not problem with that whatsoever, but shouting "lets give a big feck off to those wankers Man United!" infront of a crowd of thousands just takes the piss.

Loved their first two albums, the rest are incredibly so-so. And now I can't even listen to 'What's the story', hasn't aged well, to my ears anyway. Definitely Maybe is still cracking though.
 
First two albums caught the moment. Liam tries to punch far above his weight believing that they have always been Manchesters biggest musical success in the last twenty years.

Are they a strong musical outfit? No. They do have some awe inspiring songs, champagne supanova being only one of the many that you could point out. Think they'll probably always be the first thing a foriegner asks you about visa vie your musical tastes as a Manc. Wholely unfair as other bands (The Stone Roses, The Inspirals) certainly encapsulate what it feels like to be Manc more than those waste of space brothers.

I've met them both, and to be honest I'm not that impressed. Feel they were packaged and sold to a slowly maturing Manc audience who either were too old for other bands or not old enough (by old enough, I mean old enough to appreciate them) i.e were still young enough to be caught in the rather pop feeling that comes with many of their so so tracks.
 
The voice is annoying. Oh,and they look like miserable bastards in every video.
 
The right band at the right time with 2 or 3 decent albums that are still OK to listen to but tiresome since.

morning glory and the importance of being idle >>> 99.99% of the other songs i have heard. (of course, every nightwish song >> any other song ever made)
 
I liked Nirvana, its a shame that their image is ruined today by some annoying teenage gobshites.
