Antony (out)

We’ve got to loan him out this window and hope he goes and does well somewhere. As it is he is unsellable and I’d imagine he will be out on loan as well next season but maybe on better terms and with a chance of selling him at the end of it.

Loan him out covering 50-75% of the wages and hope he does well enough that we can find a buyer at 15-20m AND take the wages on in the summer.

Should find a club to take him on loan and hope that he can find some form in an easier league to increase what must be a very low value at the moment …. It drives me insane when I am reminded of the magnitude of our transfer dealings in recent years!

As with most of our undesirables, it’s finding clubs who want to take him. Probably have to be a subsidised loan, which then relies on him performing to actually then get a figure

No idea why he's not just being given a proper go as a wingback in this system when we've looked far better when either him or Amad have been played there.

Yes, surely he can't have been any worse on the left than Dalot.

If we are lucky enough to offload, will he go down as our worst ever signing considering money paid?

Needs a subsidised loan for 6 months somewhere where he could look good and then hopefully we might be able to get a £20m or so transfer somewhere. He’s still relatively young so a good loan spell where he proves useful might make a team bite. He has incredibly low stock though so seems unlikely

We've sent an email to all major clubs across Europe inviting bids but rather than bcc, we have cc'd. Fools.

Someone try and call ETH, or some of his fanatics on here who were waging war on whoever doubted that Antony is worth the 100m fee. Maybe they can pay 5k pounds combined?

We will probably need to pay more.

At this rate we are running out of players.

I agree. He would be a better option at either side at wing-back than Dalot or Mazraoui IMO.

Actually not near top of my most disliked players list these days given that he can actually run, shows attacking intent at times unlike others, and gives it his all every game. Given this system requires strong running and he's actually done ok in his cameos at right wing back hopefully we're getting a reasonable deal before selling as opposed to giving him away like we once might have liked to have done.

I agree. He actually has a use in the current squad, horribly overpriced as he was, he offers more than so many others. Maybe that makes him more sellable, but still feel like he gets unnecessary stick.

Sell him at the earliest opportunity, he represents everything wrong with out recruitment.

He’s not the worst player we’ve signed, but certainly needs replacing, far better players out there.

Not his fault, but this is where we are, think it’s best for both parties if we parted company.

I'd doubt even Ajax would want him back for £10 million with us paying 75 % of his wage for next 3 years.

They pulled off probably the greatest deal ever made by club for such a limited player.
