Comparing Cristiano Ronaldo with Martial. Apples and oranges.
Sorry but the difference between Ronaldo and Martial is way bigger than Neres and Antony.

Not angry just disappointed. Like to point out the ridiculousness. Why are you always so angry
You forgot our fanbase; needy, childish, impatient, hypocritical, daddy want FC
Oh stop with this fecking nonsense please.
Liverpool have a transfer committee too. One which was spearheaded by Edwards, (who has now left the club) who at the time had FAR less experience than Murtough does. All on the transfer committee has 1 vote. Klopps vote counts for 2. So stop with this constant taking a big shit on the club you're supposed to love.
There is always risk. He could break his leg. Of course he could also turn into absolute garbage. But thats worst case scenario that's not likely at all. Antony has shown his quality since he arrived and is the best winger the Dutch league has seen in a very long time. Some players have stats that make them look better, for Antony the stats make it look worse than he is. Gakpo from PSV has better stats, but Antony is the better player for sure.Well, I’d argue there’s just as much risk as reward, not that I blame Ajax for wanting a huge price.
Why?Doesn't mean Edwards wasn't more competent. Not saying Murtough and Arnold aren't but the jury is still well and truly out and so far it's not looking very good.
It's going that way. I'm beginning to think we will be fortunate now to have a window consisting of a backup goalkeeper, De Jong and Eriksen.

Because ETH has clearly stated (from the outside looking in) he wants FDJ done and over the line before going after anyone else? FDJ is vital to the way that ETH wants the team to play and it's clear from the outside looking in, it's he who he wants and no one else.
Once that's done, I would be very surprised if deals for Antony and co take as long. They'll fall like dominos.
Plus as I said yesterday, the rest of the deals hang on the FDJ deal. Whatever money is left after that will be all we have left to spend on others. If we were to get the others before getting in FDJ, we may not have enough budget left for FDJ and that won't be good either.
Just have some patience!
Dafuq, I'm questioning Hag more than Murtough and our new set-up. Can you read ?Oh stop with this fecking nonsense please.

we dithered until they sold half their team and are already done their selling for the summer, what a surprise
I am not saying its a certainty but its also not out of the cards at all. Antony really is a potential star. Whether that will come to fruition next season or it takes longer remains to be seen. Ajax have sold defensive minded players like De Jong and De Ligt for 70-80m. Attackers are always much more expensive. Obviously they came off an incredible CL run, but with another CL coming up and a WC where is in serious contention for a starting place it is anything but unthinkable that he can catch the same hype train in the next 12 months. If he does, Ajax can sell him for record prices. If he does just retains his level without shooting off to mars, then Ajax can still get €55-60m. Therefore it makes no sense for Ajax to sell at that value right now. Ajax wants his quality on the pitch and there's a potential moonshot in his value in the next 12 months. While this is true, Dortmund for instance went from 108 million to 72 million for Sancho, who is in my opinion a bigger talent with better stats.
Not saying Antony won’t work out or he will definitely go for less, but it’s no sure fire thing he’s going to fetch them a Nunez level fee.
Agreed. I think De Jong will happen eventually and I'll be feeling relieved rather than joyous. Eriksen appears to be very 50/50. I'm not sure the supposed €50m it would take to get Martinez is that off putting. Even if it is, we could sign Pau Torres for a similar fee. The price for Antony is definitely prohibitive. I don't see too many alternatives to him. I assume Moussa Diaby would be valued similarly. The kid from Derby looks an interesting prospect, but won't be making much of an impact next season I'd imagine.Yeah - still believe we’ll sign De Jong at the very least. I mean if we screw that up, our executive team should be fired on the spot.
Not sure where Eriksen’s head is at. Hopefully he chooses us.
Still holding on to hope we’ll sign one of the Ajax lads. Probably Martinez for 40-50 Mn. And sign that lad from Derby on a free for the right wing instead of Antony (if Ajax stick to this crazy valuation).
And when is that getting done ? You don’t know, right ? Nobody knows. So until then we aren’t getting anyone as you said. This thought process that we would get it done once FDJ happens is amazing as if everything would pan out accordingly to us once FDJ happens as if we dictate everything because as of now it’s not going to the plan. They thought they would get de Jong by now. It’s still nowhere close. So don’t get surprised the same happens in other transfers when they quote ridiculous prices as it’s now happening with Antony. The more we shop late in the window the more the other teams would know about our desperation. This sheer arrogance and utter stupidity that we would all get it done once FDJ signs and leaving until late in the window is just history repeating itself, nothing more. Why?

You’d imagine soWasn’t there a link couple of months ago that we were interested in Bergwijn and now Ajax wants to sign him? He’s likely going to be Anothy’s replacement isn’t he?
Ajax graduates only.Let’s go for Felix instead if we’re even thinking about getting anywhere near the 80m mark (which I doubt we are!)
Come back to me when the season starts and we'll see if this is "arrogance"And when is that getting done ? You don’t know, right ? Nobody knows. So until then we aren’t getting anyone as you said. Our right wing is non-existant to be fair. Most fans making similar mistakes to the past managers. Getting carried away with a few skills show here n there. Most fans clamouring for Antony and Timber haven't watched them in a full game. There's a reason no other team is in for them and their price is that low. We really don't need any more wingers right now and need to strengthen other areas first. We need top class defenders/ fullbacks in addition to a top DM or CM.
Come back to me when the season starts and we'll see if this is "arrogance"
If not, I'll gladly eat humble pie.
You chose the one game to look at where he had a particularly bad game, probably because its the one that shows up a lot from searches.
It's like we're trading in tickets for prizes at Dave and Busters. So according to the tweet you posted we haven’t even decided which players we are gonna sign ? Or did I read that wrong ? Genuinely asking.
Just that we have a set budget we can spend (without accounting for outgoings) - so depending on what amount we end up spending on FDJ (priority), this will determine how much we’re able to spend on others - which probably means opting for options b/c in other positions as they’ll cost less than option a, as an example. So according to the tweet you posted we haven’t even decided which players we are gonna sign ? YesWe are utter shit at transfers aren't we
Nowe are suffering from those quotes Ed Woodward made years ago about us doing incredible things in the market.

What do you mean? As 18 year olds without hindsight, as 24 year olds without hindsight, or overall careers so far?Comparing Cristiano Ronaldo with Martial. Apples and oranges.
Not this again. Come on. I don’t know why you making that point is of any relevance to your post.Has a Dutch Manager ever won the PL?
look, I like ETH but he’s demanding that we spend £75M or most of our budget on a player not proven in the PL, he got outdone by Pochetino whose own stock is on the slide in a Champions league Semi Final and falls into the level just below Elite or Worlds Best Managers.
The Club apparently has been quoted £75M for FDJ, £69M for Antony, 53M for J Timber, no disrespect here but none of them are proven in the PL and our primary directive is that we need to improve in the PL, maybe Murtogh and Fletcher are being vigilant and doing their due diligence.
Let’s face it for £207M we could get the following who are all premier league proven;
S Johnstone or N Pope - Free or 10M
T Lamptey -£25M
W Foffana , E Konsi Or M Guehi £45-65M
W Ndidi or N Kante £25M
C Erikssen or Y Tielemans - Free or £35M
J Bowen or Raphina - £50M
I Toney or D Ings - £40M or £25M
This window could be the start of yet another terrible mundane transfer window for the board, the Glaziers are playing Russian roulette with a new dynamic manager who will soon find out that this club have always been a disaster in the transfer window since David Gill and Sir Alex left.
Half of our team can play on the left. Why do you want him to play on the left ? We are already Beyoncé fc at this point “to the left to the left, everybody in our team plays on the left.”Can he play on the left

Greenwood is gone. Looks like Sancho will find a home on the left.
The only left footed player who plays RW we have is a kid in Amad who will likely be loaned again.
We've left ourselves so many holes in the team it's difficult to prioritise to be fair. Certainly not a case that we don't need attacking players, we need both a striker and right winger. It just so happens our midfield and defence is also dreadful.
