He looks pretty damn good in that vid

The ball's glued to his feet. Been a while since we had that type of dribbling ability in the squad.
He's the type of player that teams will double mark in threatening positions. We needed this type of player yesterday. Won't be surprised to see all of our assists or attacking options going through him. Exciting times ahead.

We're mocking Ajax manager but we'll feel the same if Antony or any other player does this to us in 3 or 4 years.

Don't know why people here have the hump with the Ajax manager , I would hope our manger would be as equally angry and vocal in the same situation.

Selfishly as as Utd fan I am happy Antony acted up to force the move , as it worked in our favour here.

But I can also understand the justified anger at Ajax.

C'mon. It's a United forum. It's okay to be tribal, unfair, hypocritical and rose-tinted even if for just a second while enjoying an exciting signing.

He's 22 years old. If he is a starter for us for, lets say 4 years, (provided we are also in the CL) then the fee will be more than justified.

On the other hand Casemiro is 8 years older but I think his impact will be immediate and will lead to us getting top 4 this season and ultimately will mean Casemiros fee is justified.

At the end of the day we need to get back into regular CL spots so spending extra than other clubs such as city or Liverpool is expected.

Soooo think he’ll take the 11 off Greenwood? I don’t think the club should prevent it if Antony wants it.

We won’t because you’ve got to know when to sell. If he does amazingly well and creates interest from Spain then we’ll have also likely done well, and can replace him with a similar player.

Will he start? On paper, he’s behind Sancho and Rashford but possibly ETH hasn’t yet been that impressed with Sancho? Great we will have some squad depth but feels a bit of an odd signing at that fee when we have much larger issues at RB, CM and CF.

On paper...how do you work that one out? Maybe ten Hag isn't impressed with Rashford? Antony is very much needed. We now have options out wide. A top quality striker is most likely unavailable.

In no universe is this player behind Rashford. He should slot right in at RW in short order.

I don't think he'll be an automatic starter straightaway. I expect he'll be gradually eased into the squad over the next month or two and eventually take Rashford's place.

Sancho & Antony will be the starter wingers with Martial, Rashford and Elanga being the rotation and backup options.

Ronaldo and Rashford will be the picks for CF, but Rashford needs to have more presence in the box for that. Martial can be the rotation option for CF too.

With Casemiro in, Bruno and Eriksen will also have more freedom to go into the area, bringing more bodies in for Sancho's and Antony's crosses.

All in all, ETH is looking to diversify our attacking options, as one of the main issues with Ole was that we had no plan B when things didn't work out, instead tried the same thing again and again.

That implies Sancho is playing LW though and I don’t think TH wants to play him there (understandably as he’s average there). Possibly it will be Antony/Sancho rotating on the right and Rashford/Martial on the left. Will be good to have some decent options for the first time in years though!

No, he isn't average there. He literally played there on Saturday.

We’ll rotate like crazy with all the games we have in this stupid winter World Cup year. People are missing the point when talking about starting XIs. It’s almost an antiquated concept.

As for Antony, I am delighted we’ve signed him. We desperately needed reinforcements up front, and he brings quality where we needed it. The fee gives me pause because I don’t see this kid having enough weapons to be a really top player tbh, but I’ll be happily proved wrong. What I think he will do is provide consistent quality from the right, which we’ve lacked. At 85m my gut tells me we should have a ready made world beater, but that’s not really the world we live in any more.

I hope he is a massive success. I love a tricky, flair Brazilian forward. He adds a different dimension because we don’t really have a player quite like him in the squad. He has a unique skill set. And of course he’s left footed.

We have 3 Brazilians, 1 Argentine and Might have 1 Uruguyan in our team..
I don't think we had so many south Americans in our team ever..

He'll have pundits raging weekly Richarlison style in short order

Antony's seems have to substance though. Richarlison got cloberred cause old mate isn't even a player known for his trickery and literally did it for no fecking reason.

He's going to be a Nani at his full potential and we bought him at 100m when Arsenal got Gabriel Jesus for half the price. Iol

This guy...

Really can't let it go

Honestly I can’t fault him for being upset about losing one of his best players. I don’t think he thought that MU would pay the 100 million €.

He’s showing spirit, this coach.

Agree. If the shoe was on the other foot, we would be pissed.

Anthony acted like a baby. Players should continue to play and be professional, regardless of their desire the leave. He signed the contract with Ajax - expect to honor it. He was talking to Fabrizio Romano saying that Ajax was only meant to be a "2 year project". Then why sign until 2025 then?

Who knows, if he is massive success and Real Madrid come knocking and he could do the same to us.
We destroyed Eredivisie's transfer fee record to sign him. If Real Madrid come knocking with a fee that destroys EPL's transfer fee record which stands at €135m now, so we are talking about a €200m bid or more from RM, then I would not mind it at all.

Context matters.

Madrid came in with a world record bid for Ronaldo previously and people were still rightfully pissed.
