We're a better team with him. He needs to improve of course, but id still start him over anybody else there. Sancho on the other hand...
Good game, why take him off??!?
Loked like he was heading for a send off
What I don't understand about annoying habits like this is it's a problem that can be fixed in one conversation. The manager has the option to say "pass the fecking ball and stop taking 10 shots a game, or you'll be on the bench" and that should be the end of it.Fecker needs to learn how to pass the fecking ball.
Feck you and your left foot curlers. Pass the fecking ball.
It's a team game ffs.
This is more likely you neither appreciating nor understanding what a difficult skill football management actually is. Not specific to Antony but football managers seem to indulge players in their worst habits, whether that be lack of discipline in picking up needless yellow cards, getting involved in petty scraps with the opposition that result in yellows/reds, shooting from outside the box constantly, trying to dribble past 4 players when passing is a better option.
I agree with the principle, it also eats at me to see the same mistakes being repeated by players which makes me think that it must be incredibly hard to alter a player's mind like that tbh. This habit of his is too ingrained in himWhat I don't understand about annoying habits like this is it's a problem that can be fixed in one conversation. what surprised me the most is his first shot of the game, it wasn't a curler only because he was positioned on the other side of the box, it was a straight bullet like trajectory. He has talent just "needs" to vary his game, bring more uncertaintyThat's just a fancy way of saying he's thick as paint.
He will be hitting some goals but he needs to be told that assist is as valuable as a goal to his name. He's both trying too hard to score but also I think he doesn't trust his passing. He was much better than Sancho last night. In saying that he's hit the target just once with his last 14 attempts at goal apparently.
And once again, even after an encouraging display, he left the pitch with absolutely nothing.
Where are the goals? Where are the assists?
Eth said the ref told him he was very lose to giving Bruno and antony reds so he subbed bothNah it was a friendly duel with the Argentine, his head was still straight, it is the typical southern mind games that made Ten Hag shit himself

Really promising signs in recent games. Seems to be more willing to run at the man and his low centre of gravity is allowing him to beat the fullback (not something we've seen enough of). There's a player in there !
