Antonio Rüdiger - our backup plan to Rojo - according to sky sources

Oh, Was he the one who came on late..

Looked alright. But still early days...

Came in here to bump this thread. Liked what i saw of him. Looks the type of defender who excels in the Premier league. I hope we continue to keep an eye on him,

German defenders were getting beaten all over the place for pace so he came in and looked a bit different athletically. Did well, tbf but couldn't get much idea from that.

Looks like the type of CB we need under LVG. Ball playing defender with skills for days and pace to burn. Only 21 as well. He could be the next Varane. Yes, I hope we're still looking at him.

Obviously it was only a cameo so to speak but he looked fast, agile, powerful and distributed the ball well.

If Jones and Smalling continue being sicknotes we should look at getting this guy in January. Funny enough, he seems to play in a very similar fashion to our new young signing, Timothy Mensah.

Currently watching the Argentina vs Germany game, and this guy has looked pretty good in the short time he's been on. He's rapid for a centre back.

he is good, but still not good enough to start for us. Made a bad mistake the weekend. Seems talented and highly rated though.

After witnessing the shambles that is our defence this season I'd say if he only makes one mistake he's a massive upgrade.

didnt watch him today against Dortmund, he is still young and will make mistakes. Everyone would prefer a leader at the back and someone with experience instead of a young talented guy. No problem bringing him in and another experienced CB.

We should get Daniel Agger, EPL experienced and at 29 still got some years left on the top. And he is a fierce leader. Obviously never going to happen given his knuckles.
Rumours he is a coke addict too.

This lad had a very good game against Dortmund tonight, excellent reading and anticipation and the speed off the mark to act on it.

I think Arsenal should be looking at him for some experience.

He'd probably come back burning, and wanting to shove it (not literally) up Rodger's arse.

We should be giving him a look. Was immense against Dortmund and has played twice for the senior German team.

I admit that I am a fan based on what I have seen. He is the type of defender we need I think. Our team is too soft, and I think Rudiger can develop into a monstrous player.

Agreed. Also Stuttgart are a selling club........no brainer.
