a player who would genuinely improve our first team and make us far more dangerous in the final third, perfect age, but can't see us forking out that kind of money.

Well thats not crazy money for a player of his quality, but maybe he is happy at Atletico didn't he recently sign a new contract also.
I agree, in this current team Griezmann offers more of what we need, he's tenacious in the tackle as well and works hard to I can't see why we are not interested.
Will never happen this season anyway, as disappointing as it is and as badly as we would need him.
He did sign a new deal recently but many players do that to up their wages, Atleti have a lot of forwards and he and his brother are United fans so you'd think he might be interested.
