It's an obvious PR stunt. Why's the setting of him talking to someone, and to show the name, important in the context of the shot? I don't know the language, so I could be wrong. It's obviously deliberate, to draw attention. They know what they're doing.

Somewhere, right now, in Huawei, an Advertiser is pissing himself laughing at the reactions to him photo-shopping 'Jose' onto the watch.

People are acting as if famous people don't copyright their name...if you use Jose in such a context then you are clearly referencing Mourinho. And this is an official sponsor so they dont name drop people without having the legal green light.

Also

Are you people sane?

Copyrighting a first name.

Pretty sure the only way to do that is to start a world war.

You know a transfer is as good as done when our sponsors start taking the piss with their adverts. I'm feeling safe on this one now.

There are two versions, the you-know-what version and a shorter one 0:47 in duration. Basically they are the same for everything else, but the important part is the shorter one does not have any zooming into the watch specifically, so maybe this is a remade ad?

Not a rejection. He was already on the call and hung up. Its just a silly bantz add anyway.
I meant that. He hung up. Like" nah, thanks jose but i will stay with this lovely people in madrid".
I know it is ad and it does not mean anything basically but we are having fun in analyzing it so...

Now this is the kind of detective work I love.

Aren't they close to signing Auba? Di Marzio is normally pretty good but this article of his really smells like bs.
Maybe we were in for Mbappe and Morata ages ago and realized we weren't going to get them so we switched to Griezmann. Jose gave Ed the list in March after all. The article by Di Marzio doesn't say he's our 3rd choice now, just that he was initially.

I like to think that somewhere, Antoine and Ed are sat in a hotel reading this thread and laughing at our desperation.

Im not sure if you're aware but most top players have branded their own name; and copyright the use of their name in commercial contexts.

You can copyright a name and most famous people do indeed copyright their name. Taylor swift has copyrighted the phrase 'this sick beat'. That doesnt mean we cant use that phrase in day to day life, it means that it cannot be used in certain contexts.

I really don't understand this hype. I've watched him all season and I think he's nothing special at all. I hope if we do sign him it won't be a massive waste of money

I'm curious as to why you're watching Atletico all season as a United fan?

He's giving us clues.

Thursday 30 March 2017 - 11:01

Antoine Griezmann will from this spring be the muse of the communication campaign of the Huawei P10, the new smartphone emblematic of the brand. The French international Atletico Madrid has signed a two-year ambassador contract with the world's third-largest smartphone manufacturer. "Antoine is a rare champion and a genuine and accessible person. Popularity, but it is only at the beginning of what it wants to accomplish individually and collectively, and it is a pride for Huawei to accompany it, "said Vincent Vantilcke, Marketing Director of the Consumer Huawei.
