There will be somebody else we will be pursuing. We are in need in several positions. It's not like 2008 when we have 1 player to care about signing. 4-5 are needed this summer.
I honestly don't believe Griezman is the player that will make us title challengers I agree he's a very good player but next season we need a striker that's gonna score 25 goals at least in the league to try and compete and Griezman isn't that guy imo I find it really strange why we aren't going after Sanchez we've done it before with Arsenal and now that there in the Europa and we aren't I see no reason why we can't do it again and he's proved it in England time and time again!
I found the Caf hysteria of that summer very entertaining. And if we end up with Griezmann still, no harm lost.
Singing Nani and Ando within 24 hours was pretty awesome at the time.

Do we need a striker to score 25 in the league? Diego Costa scored 20 this season and Chelsea walked the league; Zlatan scored 17 and we came 6th. What we need more of is more goals from different players. Adding Griezmann adds goals to the team, but I'd love to have Sanchez too. I believe Pogba will score a lot more next season as well.
I don't think that's relevant at all. I am not arguing for Sanchez in particular but if you get a player who can score 25 goals a season, who cares what position they're in? Ronaldo was our highest goalscorer and wasn't a striker in a time when Saha, Tevez and Rooney were hardly goal machines and we didn't do too badly then either. I just don't get the fixation with filling specific positions when all that matters is to score enough and not concede too much regardless of how.

It's gonna take a bit of time for Woody to negotiate the signing of Neymar. Glad we're getting Griezmann in the bag early so he can dedicate his time to the real gem of this summer

You raise an excellent point. The real question we all have is: is 3rd his peak or can he progress? To me, I have the feeling it's his peak but hopefully, Jose saw something more.
Furthermore, needless to say that Drogba never became #1 in that Ballon d'Or stuff and he was still phenomenal with Jose.
Watched the video. He doesn't say anything of the sort. He corrects a poster's pronunciation of Griezmann and makes that phone gesture but that's about it. Nothing about 6 or 10 from what I could hear.
Imagine how much other supporters will hate it every time he scores. With Pogba dabbing and Lingard doing whatever it is he does, they could incite riots. It'll be beautiful.

Fair enough, I don't speak Spanish so I missed that bit. I've no doubt that Griezmann will be a United player next season.
