Well I put Ronaldo and Messi in a special category, which I don't think anyone of the current crop of youngsters will reach soon so after their level begins to drop (Ronaldo already has began) I don't see anyone clearly better than Griezmann, that was my point :)
 
So there's the Ducker tweet about United expecting to wrap up the deal in a few weeks and the United twitter handle has liked it. Not sure if fake or not though. Muppet season is officially on :drool:

They don't have the ambition to win trophy and Griezmann has won nothing with them. Time to move on to a club who has better ambition, better history and who just won trophies with manager who has great CV.

Isn't it great that the tedious sideshow of actual football is finally over and we can get onto the infinitely more important and exciting part of the season.

Yeah, surprising. i had to check that since it seemed so unlikely. only won the spanish equivalent of the community shield.
 
How much can we realistically afford to spend this summer? I take it this transfer will be about half of whatever the budget is? We still need a midfielder and a prolific striker. Can't see there being more than 4 maybe 5 players leaving or coming in tops. Rooney (greizmann) Smalling who may have saved himself tonight (Keane etc) and Carrick (nanig, dier, keita etc) and one of the top strikers being linked to us. I want Bernardo instead of mata in the team but it's probably a signing too far. Matas been one of our best players during one of our worst ever periods too which is unfortunate for him.

Someone in the comments said announce griezman and he replied it's "griezmann" get used to it.

Yeah it was on Instagram. Something to the effect of "we can't/don't talk about him" followed if I heard it right.

I reckon griezmann will play up top in a front three so hed be the striker. Theres been some rumours that we can spend £130m before sales which means if de gea leaves on top of the predicted sales of rooney, shaw smalling or jones, januzaj etc it could be a lot. Personally i reckon we'll aim for griezmann (85m) bernardo silva ( 70m) and michael keane (25m). Most people would reckon we'd need a goalie and a holding midfielder but im not sure.

I'm hoping Dave stays, if he doesn't Romero will be given the no 1 shirt for better or worse. I think smalling may have saved himself tonight too. I think it'll be a rooney replacement - greiz, zlatan replacement - belotti/icardi/lukaku and a carrick replacement - Dier etc a few tweaks and we should be grand. Put it this way, at the start of the season carrick and rooney would have been seen as influential players but they both look done now. A small bit of fresh blood and some more clinical attacking and we will be fine.

They haven't won anything while Griezmann has been there, he joined the season after they won the league. We have won 3 trophies in the last 2 seasons.

I thought "Greez-man" was right but the other day I heard some pundit or commentator saying "Gree-ez-man" and I can't believe I hadn't thought it might be like that before

I mean obviously in French it probably sounds not much like either of those

I have diagnosed insomnia and a few years ago was awake for eleven days straight. I can testify that it is enough to drive you insane. I was full on hallucinating and I very nearly did something stupid. Griezmann is worth a weekend without sleep at best...
