We should be very wary of a Di Maria situation. Griezmann's talked down a transfer to the PL before on the (tired old) grounds of lifestyle and weather and would naturally be tempted by a leading European side too. Any hint that he's waiting around to see if he can get a sniff from Bayern or PSG before settling for us should rule out the transfer.

Big money and a big name are no guarantee of success - commitment and drive are crucial too. Look at Herrera, frozen out for no real reason for two seasons but he stuck at it and now he's our player of the season.

Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has said he would like to either stay in La Liga or move to the Premier League if he leaves the Vicente Calderon in future.

Speaking to TF1's Telefoot, the France international said that "for the moment, I am good at Atletico" but added that he wanted to start winning trophies.

But he said that would not be at either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

"I cannot go to Real -- there is a pact between the two clubs that prohibits a transfer," he said. "At Barca, there is no pact but their front three are indispensable."

Griezmann, 25, stressed that moving on "is not necessarily one of my objectives" and said that although Paris Saint-Germain were an attractive proposition, Ligue 1 did not have the same allure as La Liga or the Premier League.

"PSG? It is an interesting possibility but Ligue 1 does not interest me for now," Griezmann said. "I would prefer to stay in La Liga or go to the Premier League."

Antoine Griezmann has admitted during an interview with Sky Sports Germany that he would like to play alongside Paul Pogba at club level one day.

He also admitted to expressing interest in Manchester United, the players at the club and Jose Mourinho but says that his home right now is Atletico Madrid.

"I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United, and I ask him about some of the players, and if they are good and if Mourinho is really that good," Griezmann says.
"I think they are a huge club with a really good project,"

"You hear many things about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don´t see myself going at another club. But it would be incredible to play with Pogba one day.''

The 25-year-old is under contract at Atletico until 2021 but there has been speculation over his future in recent weeks and months.

Will be great if we do since he is WC, but won't care if it doesn't happen since we can get some very good options for the price.
