Yeah. We ain't ever selling him. When's his contract up? Only hope of getting rid.
Je suis fatigué Robbie @horsechoker
Um. No. What I'm saying is that this specific multi millionaire, who has spent most of the last five years not playing while picking up 200k a week, probably isn't feeling as bad as you seem to think. Also, what on earth from his behavior or demeanor gives you the idea that he loves playing football?
Word. It’s just sad at this pointI’m not angry. I’m just disappointed
Ummm there's a difference from having a pity party and just not insulting his character? Nothing wrong with being annoyed at his fitness. Calling him insults on the back of getting injured is what isn't ok.It's not bloody cancer. He has twinged his hamstring and is in the privileged position to still get paid by his employer and not have to rely on statutory sick pay. I can't play golf anymore after slipping a disc in my back, I loved to do that, shall we hold a pity party for me?
He did forgo a sizeable chunk of his wages at one point in order to get a loan to Sevilla, so unless this was merely an act of charity I suspect he prefers playing football to not doing so.Um. Id say well above 95% of people who devote their entire lives to become professional footballers, love the sport. It'd have to be something like less than 0.1% of footballers who genuinely don't care for it but somehow hit that random spot of playing it despite not liking it much, being ridiculously good at it but then devoting their lives to it anyway.Um. You’re chatting shit.Absolutely ludicrous that people think martial is actually bothered about missing games at this stage. To be clear I am not saying he fakes injury, I just don't think he gives a toss whether he's fit or not.
"First place, frustrated for himself," Ten Hag said. "He's the player who is most in the gym, he doesn’t want to be there, he wants to be on the pitch.
Yeah all evidence points to his body not being cut out for the daily rigors of professional football. Been 3 years of constant injuries.Fair, I wouldn't have a clue about his character. I wish him the best in getting the injuries under control, but it sadly seems doubtful.
Intriguing.I don’t think I need to feel sorry on someone who’s getting 13m per year. He needs to go.
There are full time contract employees out there who works 100x harder, work more than 8 hours a day and only getting 20k-60k per year or even less or even can’t afford to buy food for his family. If I’m getting 5m or 10m per year working only few hours or even not working because I’m getting a hamstring injury and still getting paid. I would fecking love it.Intriguing.
What's the threshold of wealthiness one has to reach to no longer deserve sympathy from their fellow humans?
You can work hard to become an elite football pro player. Then, you will be paid handsomely. There are full time contract employees out there who works 100x harder, work more than 8 hours a day and only getting 20k-60k per year or even less or even can’t afford to buy food for his family. I don’t know what country you were born, but I was born in a poor country so I had witnessed what poor actually is and how fecking sad it is not be able to feed your family, and that’s what I called sad. Being injury prone but getting paid 13m per year is not sad.
If you think everyone out there are blessed to be an elite footballer based on that then you're naïve.You can work hard to become an elite football pro player. Then, you will be paid handsomely.
Is it? or would he have been his lazy sulky self?Damn it Tony. That's a big loss for the final
Well the latter is what he's been best at for a long time so I'd go with thatIs it? or would he have been his lazy sulky self?
Comparing apples and oranges. I get your point but Anto is a professional footballer, compare him with other footballers not factory workers, managers or labourers. It’s a silly comparison. There are full time contract employees out there who works 100x harder, work more than 8 hours a day and only getting 20k-60k per year or even less or even can’t afford to buy food for his family. These footballers are just employee with bigger paid. Why can't I have the right not to feel sorry? It's not like I'm insulting him.Comparing apples and oranges. Martial doesn't help himself, his general mood and attitude makes a lot of fans dislike him, but you're right in what you say, anyone who plays at the PL level is in the top 2 or 3% of their profession and are rewarded accordinglySome of the comments in here are disgusting. Sure, he's injury prone. Unfortunately, some players are, but it's certainly not something they ask for. Jones and Bailly, to name a couple, are the same. These players are professional footballers. The percentage of people to even make it at a professional level, nevermind playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, is very slim. It's a short career and it's their livelihood. They want to be playing every game possible!
Martial will just be as gutted as some of the fans in this thread are. Of course he would want to play in the FA Cup final, but if his body's not allowing him to, then unfortunately, he can't do anything.
From a tactical point of view, it's a big shame, because Martial is by far our best striker with his back to goal, which could have been key against City. That, and I think Rashford is so much effective coming from the left.
Going forward, I'm not sure what will happen, but I'd keep him here, as I can't see us getting two strikers. I don't think there's any need. Buy a starting striker, which will hopefully play the majority of games, especially in the league, and have Martial and Rashford as back up.
Does the PL account for 2-3% of professional footballers? That doesn't sound right.Martial doesn't help himself, his general mood and attitude makes a lot of fans dislike him, but you're right in what you say, anyone who plays at the PL level is in the top 2 or 3% of their profession and are rewarded accordingly
I think you should target the “unfair” system which enables the elite pro players earning much more than regular people, rather than attacking those players who earn the high pay by being an elite player, no?If you think everyone out there are blessed to be an elite footballer based on that then you're naïve.
