Really frustrating, regressed so much. Even his dribbling is nothing special these days.
Cavani is younger than Vardy so we can definitely get another season out of him. Haaland won't be going anywhere this summer either, Dortmund won't sell him and Sancho together.
Sancho's pretty much told them he's leaving and this summer is the last chance to get good money for him. Haaland will most likely sign a bumper new contract once that release clause kicks in. After the impact he's had it would be hard to envisage him being allowed to leave Dortmund this summer, unless it's an Mbappe figure.they might not be getting any offers for Sancho, but are likely they will be getting £100m offers for Haaland, whereas his release clause locks in the summer after - so very temping to sell him this year.
Honestly how daft is this comment? What does it even mean?If we win something this season, it's in spite of Martial, not because he's contributed. I fancy Greenwood to get more goals at this rate.
Unless he's saving 15 goals for the last 15 games of the season we should seriously look to move him on in the summer. I don't think he can handle the competition for places.
This is the problem. He isnt taking on players anymore. he just recycles possession way too much. I want to see him take more risks. Ole needs to let him know this. Im sure he can't be too happy with how passive Martial is this year.Yeah i noticed that as well. Where have his driving runs forward gone? It seemed every time he was on the ball yesterday he either ran into a blind alley or just recycled it back.
Him and Shaw trying to link up tonight was like pushing together repelling magnets.
18 months? Rather next 6. If he doesn't cut it now for the rest of the season, Ole will have to buy a striker and Martial will be 2nd choice or sold
I think Shaw was just as much to blame yesterday, but Martial almost seems like on a complete other channel to everyone else as well.Him and Shaw trying to link up tonight was like pushing together repelling magnets.
It mean's we've carried him and his contribution is poor. You know that Cavani has scored more goals so far this season despite 9 fewer starts? Martial has led the line for most of the season.Honestly how daft is this comment? What does it even mean?

He has still contributed nonetheless to get us here. Lack of scoring does not negate that. Take your shite martial agenda and shove it somewhere else.It mean's we've carried him and his contribution is poor. This is where it gets a little tricky for me. How long can we cater to a player going through a sticky patch of form, as you put it? 6 months, a year? When is this going to be viewed as having a bigger downside than upside? He’s been piss poor by his own standard (mostly) since he froze against Sevilla.I don’t disagree with this, and I certainly don’t want a Martial vs Rashford debate. I’d pick Rashford every day of the week - but we need a squad of players, and players need to be rotated.
my simple point is that we don’t need to be selling someone every time they go through a sticky patch of form.

Me neither, but I know it’s not a full season. You’re not really starting striker material for ManUtd at that point. In my opinion of course.I don’t know the answer. But being honest, selling him won’t raise big funds - £30-40m? We’ve done well with him in poor form, so if he click into gear, then we another really good option.
Is it official that Cavani stays for another year?I don't think so, Cavani will stay another season at least and I don't think Ole will move for another #9 until 2022 when Haaland's buyout clause kicks in.
I don't know how you can describe him as 'fine'. He asked for and was given the responsibility for being the focal point of our attack and he's not fulfilling his responsibility of scoring goals. It doesn't matter whether his hold up play is improving or not if he's not achieving his main purpose of putting the ball in the net. And while you are right about playing on the left, this hasn't been the case in every game. When he's been in the centre, he's been disappointing. He's fine, he's developed other aspects of his games. His build up play has improved and decision making and this is reflected in getting games for France. I just think he prefers to play through the centre and he's being played out the left.
Do hope he bags a few goals soon though.
Sure he will, 4 for the season at this rate. Should hit double figures by retirement.

I don't think we can wait too long imo, and everyone will be after Haaland so that is a rather risky gamble
