When he first broke into the team in 21/22 he looked decent. Not starting material for a top team, but he looked like he could develop into a good squad player for a top team or a starter for a mid-to-low table team. He struggled quite badly in his second season though, so time will tell whether his early form was just a flash in the pan or if he will grow into a player that is quite good for a team like Forest. It's also worth noting that he's played mostly on the right for us but is probably better on the left.
No he won't. Much better player than people are making out. Elite athleticism and good attacking movement off the ball and a great worker out of possession. He has a great foundation to build on and at the right club, he can become a good player. He's not United quality but far worse players than him have made great careers in the game.

I don’t think that goal specifically would have made much of a difference in terms of the fee, but the fact that he does have European experience and has played for a club like United will have contributed to the cost. When you factor in him being 21 and that his wages were very low at United the fee makes more sense. If he’s a success you have a player with not only a lot of room for growth but also one with potential resale value for years.
I think his best bet would be on the left with Taiwo in the middle and Brennan Johnson on the right. Elanga and Brennan are both physically excellent, I think it’s likely that Forest will look to build on their game plan from last season that relied heavily on fast breaks and quick transitions. Taiwo is an excellent between the posts striker and I think he’ll be a great foil for Elanga. I think his acquisition will suit Gibbs White as well, as he’ll make use of another willing and direct runner.
I wasn’t much of a fan of Elanga, but I think this transfer suits both Forest and Elanga. The way Forest play will suit the Swede as hhis strengths will be called upon more than they were at United and his weaknesses less of a hindrance with the Forest approach.
Having a career playing in a top league and I would include the Championship and any of the top five leagues at that. Scott McTominay for example has far less ability than Elanga and regardless of what happens next will look back having had a great football career for himself. Elanga was a youth standout at United. Guys like Robbie Savage were not but ended up having very good careers.

While he is not United quality I am sure with regular game time he will improve and end up being sold to a mid table club. So sell-on clause would be good for us.

Not really, he has been reporting this deal for several days and has been spot on with everything.

He rarely got a game in his best position for us - cutting in from the left - because he's clearly not at the level of Rashford or even Garnacho. And mostly played as a workmanlike performer on the right or up front.
However he's a threat with his pace when he has space to drive into, and an OK finisher for a wide striker cutting inside, so he could certainly kick on with regular games from the left and, if he does, we could benefit further from a decent sell-on clause.
I always liked him. Shame he lacks a bit of maturity in the final third and has some tunnel vision. I think he'll do fine at Forest.
Relatively easy transfer he was only on £5k per week wages so this was the easy one
Look at the others like B Williams, E Bailey, D Henderson, DVB will be tough to sell on their high wages

The problem with Henderson is his £120k per week wages, that’s 40k per week more than their current highest earner this is the real issue with the hood up, Forrest want to pay him 80k max and give him a signing on fee to make up the rest, so they want United to drop value from £25m to £15-17m to subsidise his wages

Correct me if i am wrong but i thought Lingard was on a very high wage at Nottingham forest. I cannot remember the exact figure but it made him choose Forest over other clubs if i recall.
He was signed on a free with a 1 year contract for £170k per week package, now it’s expired, no transfer fee so they pay the player a lump sum which is then divided by 52 which tops up his actual salary.

Good luck to him. Hope he has a good career, he has limitations for sure but he always tries his best for us.
He was a breath of fresh air during the high Rangnick period (which actually wasn't high at all - but he seemed like the only player trying to impress the manager) but seemed to have disappeared last year. Good deal for both the club and the player. Wishing him the best.

No, the site is just shit. It adds up total package for few clubs and basic wages for other. That's why huge difference in wages between clubs who reported similar wages in their financial report
