If he grows to the size of Pogba, we have a world beater on our books.

He looks tiny.

It would be the worst possible scenario for both us and him if he grows up big time, we can only hope that he stays tiny.

He's stocky. So he should be strong enough when he grows. Growing as to as Pogba(he will never be as tall as Pogba) will affect his centre of gravity, which is his main asset.

The thing I like about him is that is an awesome dribbler but he isn't greedy.

He seems very small, although he is technically fantastic.

Seems a bit like Thiago Alcantara from the limited amount of him I have seen.

Would any regular watchers agree?

probably best description yet, very similar IMO.

Don't we have these talented youngsters who everyone thinks is the real deal, best they've ever seen etc every year

No our recent crop of players is just outstanding.

Gomes, Rashford, TFM, Tuanzabe, Ro-Shaun, CBJ, Periera, Januzaj and Chong.

All of these have the potential to be first team squad members for us particularly the ones highlighted imo.

He is quite small but he was also playing against some players who are almost 3 years older than him at the Otten Cup

How do you rate his chances of progressing to the first team. Obviously he has the talent though from what you have seen does he have the mental side necessary - determination, discipline etc.?

Best player I've seen at that age at United since Morrison. From what i know about him his attitude seems to be spot on and he seems determined to make it. I wrote this about him a couple of years ago

If Mr MUJAC, thinks he's exceptional, then he is.

Have to agree with quite a few posters, he's the best since Morrison.

As for every year, people tend to obsess with certain players and vastly overrate them (TFM. A prime example). But there are some very knowledgeable posters on here, who give a very honest opinion on the players who are breaking through.
But there will always be 1 or 2 standout performers every year as the under 18's change so regularly.

Think it's premature to judge Chong yet considering nobody has really seen him play for us yet.

Watched an episode of full-time devils though with @Mr. MUJAC present there speaking about Gomes. The host basically said he'd heard from somebody at the club that Angel was the biggest talent the academy has seen and is the closest thing to Lionel Messi that we will see at the club.

Not trying to hype him up or anything  just what I saw.

Thanks mate, really good article that I'd not seen before. I think the exciting thing is we have a good array of talent coming through right now and plenty to keep an eye out for.

Also, did I hear that Gomes is Nani's cousin?

Just watched the Otten Cup, and watched the videos on this thread. What a talent he is, eh? And at 15 years of age, too.

He is tiny, though. That'll change with time. Will be following this thread for more exciting videos. Hope he can make it to the U21s soon.:)

Thanks. Yeah we have quite a bit of talent coming through and some very good players coming through in the younger age groups as well. Yeah as far as I know his father is Nani's cousin

Seen a few videos of this guy and he looks to be the real deal. He likes showboating aswell. Can't wait to see him and Chong in the first team.

I think the difference is aggression. Lee Seung Woo is more like a Messi as he utilizes his skill to constantly attack and go for goals. Gomes is more passive right now, but can pop up with a great goal from distance from time to time. Ravel was more aggressive too.

He is the best after Morrison . Morrison was more of a pure number 10 but this guy looks as a mid fielder to me . Hope Morrison stays out of trouble this season because i still believe he can still show the world what he is capable of . Time is running out fast though . Hope Pogba getting back to Us will act as an inspiration to him

He'll need that aggression and directness if he wants to keep thriving. I'm increasingly worried that Pereira will never make it, and the reason is he's still so passive, doesn't make anywhere near enough out of his ability.

Play him as a CM . Whenever he got his chance as CM in the first team he impressed me . He is better passer than Herrera and have more in his locker than most of our mid . But his a Centre Mid . Not a number 10 or a part of front three .

I used to think this, but he plays with so little energy, even in most of his first team chances. You can't afford a CM who waits for the game to come to him like that. He might have a higher level than Herrera theoretically but Herrera makes so much out of what he has with his energy, intelligence and positivity. It's not that I don't want Pereira to make it or don't expect him to, but I worry that the reason he isn't getting more chances is that he's the same in training as he too often seems to be on the pitch, and he'll never catch a manager's eye like that.

Sorry, strayed OT a bit here.

Nah, many didn't even give TFM his dues when he was a reserve, it was all talk about how Axel and RoShaun were next up, and then him. Mensah is a monster, and his praise has come from first-team competitive matches, in which he's been amongst our best players.

Wilson would be a better example, who has shown nothing like his reserve promise for the first team, still I have seen him mentioned in many a thread over the last 2 years about how he should be in and around the team. Many people even said Martial was no better than him when we signed him!

Angel himself is Nani's cousin so his father Gil is Nani's uncle.

Quite an achievement to captain the U17 side, considering he turns only 16 at the end of the month.

If LVG was still manager, I'd have backed him to make his debut this season. That's how highly I rate him.
