I know. Classical Mechanic gave a better possible reason in the convo but can't mention it here.He just turned 17!
Anyway if he wants to go so bad then good riddance I guess.

From what I've heard nothing's done yet and things are developing. I'm fairly optimistic he'll stay
Good sauce?
Yes, just checked. Is that one of them annoying story things as I can't see it on his page.
Yep it’s on his Instagram story. Is that one of them annoying story things as I can't see it on his page.
If it isn't about Gomes signing a new contract it'll be so underwhelming.
Apparently he's signed for another club anyway.
Next Messi.Don't know much about him. Can someone give me a short summary, what kind of a player he is?
A tool to increase their social media profile through the furore it generates, no doubt. The times we live in.People never learnt. Andreas Pereira were on his way to Juventus. Rashford, Gribbin and Williams to Man City. Right.
Spreading rumours during contract negotiation is popular these days especially for young players who are usually on short contract.
Iniesta type player, so extremely technically skilled. Doesn't score enough goals, nor is aggressive enough to be a Messi type. He's a youth player, so it's possible he flops or it's possible he just becomes decent.Don't know much about him. Can someone give me a short summary, what kind of a player he is?

Told you
His nmatural ability on the ball is up thre with anyone i've seen in his age group, bar maybe Ravel at that age. He has that potential but so have many that don't make it in end for differrent reasons. Thanks!
You don't see him as a potential world class?

It's better to not have those expectations no matter the talent. Gomes has it, but as with every talented youth player, you just don't know how they'll develop. Might struggle due to physicality, or bad attitude, or injuries, or the wrong manager. I've learned that after having those expectations for Januzaj, Wilson, Morrison, etc...Thanks!

Agreed. I do also wonder if the club are onboard with generating the uncertainty sometimes, more social media views for United players means more views of United related news which increases their marketing value/value of the brand to sponsors etc... Gomes liking that Man City tweet probably got him more likes on his twitter today for signing a new contract.Almost everyone who's highly rated enough to demand a pro contract at 17 years old will do the same thing, it's too common and predictable these days. I'd bet we will hear the same thing about Greenwood next year. The club was willing to buy their family houses, and people really think they will let the player go that easily.
You reckon he might be included in the first team next year ?It's better to not have those expectations no matter the talent. Or he could turn out to be world class. Won't know until he starts playing regular first team football.
