How much do you reckon we paid Jorge Mendes to make this happen?

I hate that this culture has developed in football but if we don't pay off these people then other clubs will and we'll be left behind.

I heard he was receiving £6million. That was a good dozens upon dozens of pages back though. Not sure whether it was official figure or not.

Mendes takes 10% of each transfer he intermediates.

Calling La Liga a second tier league is a ridiculously out dated view, at this stage. I'm convinced anyone who does it only does it because they want to believe their precious PL is the be-all and end-all of everything football related, because if you watched La Liga on a regular basis there's no way you could form an opinion like that.

Couldn't agree more

Any day now! Any day now! I shall be released!

This transfer will be comfirmed before page 500. You heard it here first folks.

Why do we always delay these announcements for a few hours?

Di Maria is not on social media to confirm it himself like Shaw,Herrera and Rojo did?

This was delayed to ensure all the gimmicks are in place. It's quite a big deal for the club and Woody will milk this. So unlike our other signings this will be 'unveiled' properly. There will be fanfare alright...
They are getting more views of replays of old programs on MUTV today than they would in a normal week. The increased advertising money will help pay his fee.

Now it is being reported he has left Carrington...again...did he not leave a few hours ago?

How hard can it be?

It's the end of the transfer window and he's about to get 10% of one of the biggest deals of all time. And it gets delayed somewhat because this guy is in Singapore? What was he even doing there at the busiest time of the year for him?

Ed Woodward is cleaning up the cum stains from his office phone and keyboard before heading out to try make a few more signings.

Drumming up publicity is good, I guess. Also announcing at prime time is again better in that regard.

Is the road outside Carrington circular? He might have lost his way and is going round and round, in and out.

You seem to have confused the word "two" with the word "second"

Singapore must have one of the best spray tan salons in the world.

Helping someone buy Valencia FC and part shares in a truckload of players. Busy man.

Negotiating the sale of Valencia (the club) to some Singaporean I read. The man has moved on from just being a player agent!

 this thread.

Happy for you lot, I think you deserve it. Terrific player. Impressive willpower as well, the way he thrived and got better and better at Madrid is a testament to that. He had shown great things at Benfica, but his drive is something else these days. I fully expected him to flop at Madrid.

Imagine getting back from holiday or something and reading this thread title

Maybe he'll get signed by Chelsea on page 272 of the Di Maria thread on the Shed End.

Because it seems there's clearly something wrong, he'd have long been announced by now if everything had gone well.
