The guy which is hiding looks Ronaldo rather than Di Maria!

Probably do his medical tonight then sign the papers etc tomorrow, it's a bit late to announce this deal now imo.

This picture fits with that earlier instagram picture. Same black jacket.

Is that him in the front passenger seat? We haven't signed hector Herrera instead have we?
I had a nice little theory that we'd be signing Hector Herrera after I saw that Ander had his first name on his shirt. Can't think of any other Rojos but I'll stand by it out of hope.

Which at the moment works fine, as they bought good player's at high prices all before the monitoring periods began and are selling them for high prices afterwards. However now if they bought a 17 year old for £20m like they did with Lukaku, they'd be eating into their restricted transfer budget.

However how many more player's do you think they'll get a meaningful amount of £ for that isn't key to their plans (look through that loan list - can you see any £15-20m+ players?) The likes of Lukaku (£28m), De Bruyne (£17m), Mata (£37m) & Luiz (£45m) all paid for Costa, Fabregas , Willian, Schurrle, Matic, Luis (£125m in vs £125m out). From now on the only way they are going to be able to spend £50m+ in a Summer is by selling players that are seriously contributing to their success or by increasing their revenue ala United.

This is assuming that FFP has any bite of course, and that Abramovich doesn't manufacture several big money sponsorship deals as City have.
But this also all assumes they don't grow their revenues right? And given the current squad, manager, and outlook over the next few seasons, I'd have to think they're well set to win more. That's going to lead to more merchandising revenues+bigger sponsorship deals. They are also planning a stadium expansion right? Another potential revenue source. And of course, they can probably go the City route and indulge in some shady partnerships with Roman's pals.

Basically, I don't think Chelsea will really have many FFP issues unless something drastic happens in the next season or two. They had a good headstart on FFP that City, PSG, and other new money teams didn't get which let them build up a more sustainable global fanbase. Still leagues behind us, Arsenal, and Liverpool but also comfortably ahead of their oily brethren

To get back on topic...di Maria! Any chance of him playing vs Burnley?

The only reason he'd be going to Carrington is to do the medical. There's no other reason. Perhaps sign a few official papers, but Carrington has some of the best medical facilities in the country.
