And I'm saying it's being very generous to say it was okay given the money they've spent. Looks like we're not agreeing there though.
They've made similar mistakes to United in the transfer market. They've spent a lot on players for two or three seasons down the line, rather than getting in players that improve the team right now, which is what they needed.
My inital response was to someone who said the form hadn't really dipped post injuries, when it's clear the results for first 12 games (19pts) are twice as good as the results for the next 12 games. (9pts)
We can agree to disagree how we view the actual results in those first 12 games, that's fine, i totally get that.
I do agree with you that they've spent a lot of money, and i do agree they've not spent it very well in terms of needing results for Ange in the here and now. Again though, i'm not sure how much of that is Ange himself, or a club strategy.
If they sack him now, the likely scenario is they install an interim like Ryan Mason for a few weeks and see if they can persuade 1 of their targets to join just now, if not he'll be in place until the summer. That's why i think they'd be as well sticking with him and see if the form improves when they get their injured players back. I take it your point is that even if their form improves to previous levels, you don't think that's good enough?
