Just been snouting on their forum. They really want him gone don't they.

He'll get sacked at the weekend. Nothing surer than manager who's been on the brink getting the boot right before they play usHoping he stays for the cup game against them.
Very funny but Werner was atrocious last night.Ange on the 11th December...
"I believe that with these things we deal with them within our own four walls because there are always issues that we need to deal with, the same way I wouldn’t publicly criticise a player or anyone else."

"Timo Werner is fecking gash".

Indeed! I don't seem his lasting much longer there tbh.Sure.It's just amusing timing, a day after he said he doesn't criticise players, he did just that.
This was predictable it would fall to pieces when they didn't back him in the Summer. Solanke and a bunch of high valued teenagers isn't proper backing.
Another Manager out when their bigger problem is the man in charge. They'll win nothing with Levy at the helm.

Unlike with us when we could only really beat the terrible sides. He at least has them playing good football and has shown that he can beat the best sides. The issue is the Tottenham team has not enough quality. They can't rotate without dropping several levels.
Sounds similar to our fanbase blaming the Glazers all the time.

"Are we the Tottenham now?"
They have had teams where a bit of investment would have taken them to the next level. Im thinking teams like with peak Bale, Modric and Van Der Vaart. Or then later under Pochettino with Dembele, Eriksen, Kane, Son and the CB pairing of Vertonghen and Alderweireld. You think oh Spurs look good, with a bit of investment in some key areas and some better squad depth they could kick on here. Then they go and do the exact opposite and bring in absolutely no one, was it the first time ever a club has done no business in an xfer window? Never change SpursIt's been clear with Levy for so long though. They just don't spend enough or back any of their Managers properly. The Glazers would at least put the money on the table, we just always spent it so fecking badly.
It was clear Tottenham's squad needed a lot of improvement from last season, what did they do? They finally brought in a replacement for Harry Kane, 12 months late. Then spent 85 million euros on 4 teenagers. Yes, they might be wise additions in 3/4 years time. But that doesn't help improve the clear problems in the Tottenham squad now. So ultimately the only thing that's changed from last season is bringing in Solanke and continuing with the madness that is the Werner loan. It's just so fecking dumb.
Tottenham's just such a worthless club when you've got a man like Levy in charge who gives zero fecks about football success. All he gives a crap about is money and getting as much as possible without spending any. To hell with trophies or success. It's been frustrating being a United fan this past decade, but holy feck, imagine being a Tottenham fan and having to watch your team that has the potential to be genuine title contenders with proper funding but instead getting the handicap of Levy knowing full well that your team will win absolutely nothing season after season. I'd have to give up on football altogether, it'd be the only way i'd be able to enjoy life.
Or Silva, all would be an upgradeFrank or Iraola will be their manager before the end of the season I reckon.
I think Mate would do well in the Bundesliga.
I really rate Iraola, so hopefully not.Frank or Iraola will be their manager before the end of the season I reckon.

Fair assessment. I don't see the point in bringing in Ange if you aren't going to invest in the squad to ensure it gets the best out of his strengths, while minimising his weaknesses, as a manager. There are better mid-table managers out there who would be better suited to the squad he has. But the potential is obvious if you can give him sufficient attacking quality then he is better suited to managing a team at the top end of the table. It's been clear with Levy for so long though. They just don't spend enough or back any of their Managers properly. The Glazers would at least put the money on the table, we just always spent it so fecking badly.

Ten Hag and Ange. Two managers who did well in lesser leagues, playing cavalier football. Both came and initially did well. The first six month under Ten Hag was his best. But as soon as teams figured out how to play against their systems, they were utterly found out. Both responded by going increasingly suicidal with their football, and past the point of no return. Neither had before faced the level of quality, opposition analysis, and tactical acumen you encounter week in, week out, in the premier league. And it seems neither was able to evolve beyond the level at which they arrived.
Mate could probably arrest the decline if he sacrificed the winger he plays in midfield, and added a disciplined holding midfielder to sit behind Bissouma and Sarr. Especially important when both his full backs, Udogie and Porro, spend most of the match high up the opposition flanks. His teams are routinely caught out on the break, and ship goals for fun.
I'd say it was the opposite with Ten Hag - he was more pragmatic and tried to adjust to the league and essentially couldn't adapt. You couldn't see any similarities with his Ajax team and United at the end of his tenure.
Postecoglou on the other hand - has just stuck with his approach and not adjusted to the league/opposition at all. You can see he's still playing the same style that brought him success but it's just not working out at the minute and hasn't since like December 2023.
I didn’t say either was dogmatic. Although Ange is. But that they had an approach, which was generally cavalier, and doubled down on it instead of evolving. It’s true that Ten Hag changed his system. In the first six months he was able to play controlling footballing, which peaked in the 2-0 home win against Spurs. As teams started figuring out the patterns and movement and found his team very easy to stop, he just started throwing more and more bodies forward. Initially the movement of the holding midfielders into attacking positions, provided a near outlet, but quite quickly peoples realised this left United glaringly open to counters. Right up until his last days, he was still doing it in increasing numbers. You see Casemiro and Mainoo up with the center forward and no one in midfield and teams would easily soak up the pressure and then run right through us.I'd say it was the opposite with Ten Hag - he was more pragmatic and tried to adjust to the league and essentially couldn't adapt. Oh please let them appoint Iraola before we play Bournemouth.Frank or Iraola will be their manager before the end of the season I reckon.

I kind of sympathize with him, though you might be right. To be fair Arsenal had two and a half years of pretty bad form under Arteta and now they've challenged for a title in two successive seasons (won feck all mind). Spurs is a weird job as well, it's a big(ish) club that does well in staying at the top half of the table but utterly fails to go further. The fan base is weird too, it seemed far more of their fans were more concerned with Arsenal losing the league than them qualifying for the champions league which says it all really.Rightfully so, I think. It was the same here with ETH. There is a point that you just know it’s going nowhere and Spurs fans are well within their rights to feel that way. It’s been a whole year of woeful form now.
They did. And Ange's post match interview was pretty telling. I think that was the moment he realised that he isn't going nowhere with this club and I think that really hurt him. Which is why I also sympathize with him, walking into that club as a proven winner has to be a shock (and I think Mourinho and Conte experienced it in a similar way)The fan base is weird too, it seemed far more of their fans were more concerned with Arsenal losing the league than them qualifying for the champions league which says it all really.
Nothing wrong with that, especially if your fiercest rivals haven't won the league in 20 years. I could understand why a lot of United fans wanted us to lose to City in April 2019 to make sure we weren't responsible for Liverpool winning the league.I kind of sympathize with him, though you might be right. It's always wrong to cheer for your own team losing. It's just one of those things you can't do as a real fan.Nothing wrong with that, especially if your fiercest rivals haven't won the league in 20 years. As honourable as that may sound, I think you underestimate the true extent of tribalism amongst football fans; many of whom are 'real' fans, as you call it.It's always wrong to cheer for your own team losing. It's just one of those things you can't do as a real fan.
