Andreas Pereira | Fulham player

Do we actually have a sell-on clause?

That has to be nonsense. He has been decent for Fulham but he has not been setting the world alight and he does not fit their business model. Leaving aside that they don't need any more midfielders is that he is too old, they are intent on hoovering up young stars on long contracts for the potential resale value whereas Andreas is a couple of years off turning 30 and his value is only going to decline from here.

You just fecking know Woodward didn’t include a sell on clause when we sold him to Fulham.

So …. I don’t know if he’d go for it, but my suspicion is Blueco would be looking at him more than Chelsea. I think he would be a very good player to have on a team like Strassbourg, not just to make them more competitive, but to help acclimate the MANY Brazilian players we are purchasing that could be going through there on loan.

In fairness, he could perform a similar function as a role playing midfielder in Chelsea’s squad. How many English, French, Italian speaking players from Brazil or a native Portuguese speaking country do we have with Thiago gone?

Veiga is native Portuguese and speaks like 6 languages, but he could be going out on loan, and isn’t exactly a Senior mentor.

We have a 20% sell on which should net us another few million which will come in handy. Fulham allegedly rejected £18 Million recently.

Has he fallen out with Silva?

Fulham's been an excellent move for his career so surprised he wants to leave them mid season given they're on the fringes of european challenge.

He's also made the Brazil squad regularly in last 12 months so not like he needs to move back there for more visibility.

Maybe as a footballer that has already made a fortune, he wants to spend time playing football in his home country, while having all of his friends and family around him. Not to mention the beautiful weather, beautiful food, beautiful women etc.

Apparently he made some comments in the summer about playing for de Zerbi at Marseille. Andreas said they were taken out of context but you never know if that pissed him off.

He has been in and out of the squad, he played in the summer and then was excluded from the next couple of squads. The story is that he has been told that his chances of making the World Cup will be greatly enhanced by playing for a big club domestically, that may not end up being the case but it is understandable if that is his ambition. I question if that is genuine though when he seemed to be actively twerking for Marseille a couple of weeks ago and so maybe he just feels he is bigger than Fulham.

Maybe also just PSR related. He's 29, contract is up summer '26, this is the last window they can really get a decent fee for him. If it gets to summer, surely Palmeiras will just be inclined to wait and sign him on a bosman.

Wow I can't believe he's 29. I remember watching him in the milk cup

The only full 90 mins he completed this season was the first game of the season (against us!).

Last two seasons he’s started 33+ matches, so he’s definitely on a slight downward trajectory in terms of squad status.

29.

Thought he was still only 25-26 as can remember him first having a run of games at Man. United in 2019 and then he went on loan for a few years after.

Yeah if he's coming up to 30 I can understand him more wanting to go back home as last chance to feature in a World cup.

Yeah from what I read they've fallen out, he starts nearly every game then the comments - left out of the squad immediately, then on the bench for most of their games.

Yeah sad times when you realise how old we are. Martial is 29 as well!

He's not that old, he never played in the Milk Cup which was replaced by the Littlewoods Cup in 1986!

He was playing week in week out for us as the no10 in the first half of the 2019/20 season and was incredibly frustrating to watch. Replacing him in the starting 11 with Bruno in January 2020 essentially saved our season.

Quite impressive that Palmeiras can offer that, especially of a player of his quality. Even Ajax/PSV would find it hard to do such an offer in general.

Think he's a good player, was one of my favourite players in the academy. Would think he'd want to stay in the top 5 European competitions.

Hopefully the deal goes through, 4 million is a nice and unexpected fee for us.

McTominay-Fred
James-Pereira-Lingard

Think we had this players line up together in some games in first part od 19/20. Thought we’d finish midtable before Bruno came in + Rashford, Matić and Pogba returned from injuries they had. June-July 2020 was really enjoyable.

My favourite period of lockdown. We couldn't stop winning. And I agree, during the first half of the season we looked miles away from a top 4 finish.

Had a look at the Fulham boards and also some of the more reliable sources for Fulham news and this seems to be media driven nonsense. Andreas has seemingly ruled out moving back to Brazil at this point in his career and is also supposedly on the record saying he would only go back to play for Flamengo and not at this point in his career. He could still be off to Marseille if they renew their interest and I imagine he would do a job for a lot of teams in the top 5 leagues that could offer him European football if bids materialize but currently he seems intent on staying put and mending the fences damaged by his Marseille comments of a few weeks ago.
