No, he is talking about the one-time switch at youth level. If you play in an official competition at youth level you are allowed a one-time switch. Andreas I don't think played in any official competitions and I can't remember exactly but I think it has to be at at least u18 or u19 level.

That is why someone like Jack Grealish can not switch back to Ireland but Andreas can go back to Belgium if he wants.

He played for Brazil in the U20 World Cup. Scored a good goal.

Could be a big player for us because with Pogba, Fred and Pereira etc - we can suddenly switch play very quickly.

Can't judge him until I see him with us for a full season but at least with Jose you know the lad must be doing the right things behind the scenes to even get near our starting team.

Big season for him! But he looks like he has the self-believe to deliver and turn into a regular for us. He is like a new signing.

Looking forward to seeing him again, following his promising performance against Leicester.

Needs to give Mourinho a reason not to bring Matic back in when he recovers from his surgery.

You're right, my apologies.

Supposedly called up by Brazil for next international...

Brazil acting quickly. Dont know if that would be a good long term decision to play for them in terms of appearances, but i hope he can be a mainstay in their squad.

I'm a very pessimistic fan when it comes to our academy players. I think supporters get way too carried away and I've seen so many flop that I'm hesitant to ever get excited about academy players.

But I really really like this kid. He looks excellent.

Tite wants to have a look at a few new players. It's only friendlies. I'm surprised none of Malcom or Neres got a shot.

If it's only friendlies then I'm kinda surprised he's calling up the big guns like Neymar, Coutinho, thiago Sliva.

All the same, great news for Andreas

Congrats to him. Huge praise considering the midfielders they have tbf

Midfield is the weakest part of their squad by far. In the world cup they had Paulinho and Renato Augusto getting minutes, not exactly world beaters I would say. Fernandinho was very bad also when he had to come in. They have two top quality midfielders in Coutinho and Casemiro, but the other spots should be up for grabs.

Still convinced he's at his best with another midfielder behind him. Would love to see his Matic and Pogba.

I don't understand why they never call up Allan from Napoli.

Had high hopes for this kid for a few years now. Would be a real shame if he didnt get enough match time to keep him here. I firmly believe he wil lbe talked about in the £50million category if he was playing regularly elsewhere

I can't say what is the exact reason, but they don't need another hard working defensive midfielder. They need a playmaker with extensive passing range like Modric, Kroos etc.

I think that player was Thiago, they got traumatized by losing him so they called up Pereira as soon as possible. It's interesting that both of them didn't do academies in Brazil though, and they are the only few who play in this mold between #8 and #10.

Would like to see our midfielders more flexible and pereira pushing for at times with Fred or Pogs dropping in....

Another chance for him on Sunday with Matic still not ready to play.

Interesting facts - Pereira is the first player born outside Brazil to be called up for the Brazilian NT since 1908.
