Blocking Heaton from going to Luton because if by some bizarre, mystical spell we don't get Onana....we are playing a luton town/borderline retired GK for a title run

This deal is so done i'm already visualising him playing as a CDM if Case gets injured.

We are not playing Tom Heaton in goal for a PL + CL campaign. End of story.

Tbf to Luton, they dont need the heavy financial burden of some long-term contract knowing that they are likely to get relegated in 10month's time. Heaton makes sense for them.

I think its more likely because of our backup goalkeeper situation. Henderson looks pretty much certain to leave so were quite unsure how we are going to look going in to next season in the goalkeeping department

"Coming days"...

It's like when you talk to someone and they say "in a while" and in your head that means 15 minutes, but they consider that to be between 2-4 hours...
Coming days it's what we've been told for months regarding the takeover of the club, so perhaps that means we'll see Onana between the posts in february?

Shout out to Romano with his Wednesday/Thursday prophecy. What a clown.

No wonder neither transfer is progressing
The CAF: United negotiators are so shite! Why can’t they negotiate for two players at once!

*clearly they do and now there’s reports of them doing so*

Also the CAF: WHAT?! Why can’t they be efficient and devote their efforts to one player at a time?! No wonder it’s taking so long! Our negotiators are CRAP!

As someone who neither moans, nor moans about the moaners, one thing I find quite odd is the collective 'The CAF' when it's used to try to highlight inconsistent thinking.

Surely the CAF is made up of thousands of posters with different views, so it's very likely that while some will praise or criticise one thing, others will think differently and praise or complain from the opposite view? Which is only inconsistent if it's the same poster contradicting themselves just to moan, not entirely different posters voicing contrasting views.

Stop moaning.

This.

The Hojlund deal is nowhere close to be done. Neither are our further signings(say another midfielder and centreback), the only one we are in advanced talks with right now is Onana, and before that it was Mount. So yeah, sure there is overlap, but its still true, that we dont close multiple deals quickly, for whatever reasons unlike other clubs.

Also, thats just incomings. Our outgoings are an absolute catastrophe. So I would appreciate it if people dont get insanely defensive or take personal affront if its suggested that our transfer team might not be amazing at their job. Its not a wild claim.

After contracting some of our resident lip readers I've managed to gain some more info about the conversation going on in this photo.

I see you mastered Italian quite well. :D

It is but when it is consistent and very one sided it *can* arguably been as a collective view point if it is shared by a large vocal collective, no?

Because our cast offs tend to become major contributors in Serie A teams.
But for the type of football Atalanta play ?
If our cast off can't play the way Ten Hag wants us to play then I'm fairly sure they wouldn't be able to adapt to the style of Gasperini.

Its one thing playing for the likes of Jose and Conte but its a different ball game completely for the likes of Gasperini, who's Atalanta team made a mockery of a fair few of our players not to long ago.

Is an Everton cast-off not their best player? Some players fit well in systems. Our players are as likely to fit in specialised systems as anybody else's. If the player to be traded is greenwood, I don't see any particular reason he'd struggle with Atalanta so long as his abilities have not fallen off a cliff from lack of development time over the past season.

It'll be done because both clubs and the player want it done. United and inter simply want to get the best deal possible so it's taking a while. But it'll happen soon I'm sure

Inter bid €30m for Lukaku, they need the money as much as we need the keeper. United are right to haggle a bit.

Not with no GK in place we aren't
I'm guessing this is why Henderson hasn't been sold yet. Inter are in the weaker negotiating position here, in my opinion. The latest report is that Inter representatives have flown to London today to get the deal done.

Expected movement on it today but then that's my own fault for trusting Romano
