Television Andor (Star Wars series) - Disney+

Brilliant show in general. Within the SW universe, it's the best series release from Disney. Luthen's monologue is fantastic.

I hope they don't feck up the second season.

One of the best TV seasons of all time for me. Can't expect S2 to meet the same standards but the titbits I've heard sound promising. Gilbert has been quoting as saying something like he's glad it finishes after two seasons as its way too much effort to keep up with the level of quality.

I cant wait to rewatch this prior to S2.

Same, feel like i've done a ton of rewatches from all the Andor youtube rabit holes I've fallen into, but not actually done a full rewatch. Saving that for pre-S2.

Gives away a few details. I'm just happy to hear Alan Tudyk is back.

I've tried this a couple times and bounced off it...until last night where I sat down properly and ended up watching 4 eps in a row. Hooked now - I know it's not a new take but man why can't more Star Wars stuff be like this.

The lack of lightsabers and the Force is helpful no doubt, but above and beyond that it's just well written, grounded and interesting. I've no idea how the this is made by the same company that put out Obi-Wan, the Acolyte, and whatever other dross I'm forgetting.

The fact that it probably had the lowest viewership out of every show should tell you everything. Most people just want lightsabers and jedis from a Star Wars show. It’s a shame as Andor is truly spectacular.

What put you off initially?
I guess it starts quite slow.

I also struggled with it a bit to start with due to the slower pacing, but once I got into it I was hooked. Brilliant show and some spectacular locations.

One of the rare gems out of the slop Disney Star Wars has served up.

Looking forward to S2.

There wasn't anything that put me off per se, I just wasn't caught up enough to continue watching another episode the next day. The first episode didn't grab me is probably the best way to say it.

Yesterday I had time to start watching early in the evening and let the show get its hooks in over a couple episodes, maybe that made a difference.

I had the same experience with Breaking Bad, which ended up being one of my favourite shows ever.
