I wouldn't lose sleep over losing Herrera. Fans get fooled by a player kissing the badge, or thumping his chest or putting a crunching tackle. "He bleeds red", "future Man Utd captain", give me a break. He's a mercenary, like most of them. If he left his home team for better pay, what makes you think he won't do it again?
He's been a decent player at United (and I'm being generous with decent because his sideways passing drives me nuts), but is approaching his career sunset and should we reward him with a bumper contract? Have we learned feckall from Sanchez?
United needs young and hungry players: I'd love to see Tielemans, Partey, David Brooks, Doucouré join us and let Mata, Herrera, Matic etc ushered out.
