I had the strain message this morning too.
Hmmm, that sucks. Are you guys getting the error page while browsing around the site viewing pages, or when posting/editing things?
I had it while browsing today. But only once.
Both for me (when it happens, which is only occasionally). It just seems the site goes through a few minutes every so often when it happens a lot and then it's back to normal.
For me, it's when I'm browsing.
I had it for a couple of minutes earlier. Went to reply in a thread in the general.
Seems there's no specific thing that triggers it. Browsing or posting, I've had it both times.

and it repeats though for a brief while.
Getting the usual message quite a bit at the moment.
Just had the message and have had it over the last couple of days at times when there doesn't seem to be much action in the caf.

We've made some tweaks to try and reduce those 'canee take the strain' error pages. Can people let me know if it has made a noticeable improvement?

Anyone know whats causing certain replies to come up as "golden blunder" or problems in displaying a message when you try to quote another poster?

Just tried to post in the Transfer Forum, got a 'canee...' screen, I closed the page down & reopened it and my post had actully been made...
Unfortunately the odd error is still going to crop up. Right now my main concern is the frequency of errors. There were quite a few every hour and I'm hoping the change we made will reduce it quite a bit.
Are people seeing these errors several times a day or just once/never? Also, if you can tell me what you're doing when you get it that would be great.

I've been very active today and not had any trouble. Well I was slaughtered but that's another problem.
Following the logs for over an hour now and no errors reported. Before the change there were many errors an hour so things are definitely improved

Clicking the Wiki link at the top of the page sends me to the Caf Login Console. Prompting me for User Name and Password.
Yeah the wiki is down for the moment, not sure when I'll have it back up and running.

I had that several time earlier today, mid morning.
Yeah had some impromptu maintenance this morning which led to a few minutes of down time. There may be a few more error pages throughout the day but we'll keep it to a minimum.
