...and we're back

Yeah I've jinxed it.

Can we introduce a kill rule for anyone who continually hits the post button?

You're going to jinx it guys!!!

I can't delete a quadruple post I made earlier due to caf problems. I get the canae take the strain message.
The relaunched caf is like Hargreaves, I look at it and think wow and when I try to use it, it's fu*ked!

Still very up and down. I can post for about a minute then it's gone again.

Checking the consistency of posting Niall, sometimes it goes straight through. Sometimes it takes a while to appear. Always posts though.

The caf's downtime exposed a worrying chasm in my life. Being reunited is like finding my lost son.

Yeah i can't post and still get the Star Trek message from time to time.

Fix up Admin peeps

Some people say it works fine but I don't see them posting. It lets us post for a very very short period then goes back down again.

My posts seem to be working a bit better now, still can't edit though. Also when someone makes a thread the first post doesn't come up.

Yeah it comes and goes. We upgraded from MySQL 5.0 to 5.1 and it looks like the query optimizer may be using the wrong index for certain queries. They're taking 30+ seconds to complete and eventually back up the available threads and everything comes grinding to a halt until the backlog is cleared and things go back to normal for a short while.

As (another) last resort, we may have to roll back to 5.0 which would also mean a database rollback to the Saturday's backup.

Yeah, I'm just happy I can see the forums tbh.

Hope I'm not jinxing it but....it seems better....

Hey Solius...shut it!!

I am getting the 30 second block followed by the site crashing, which it does with certain threads in the football forum also.

I am getting errors across the board, failing to open certain threads, the 30 second posting limit when I haven't posted and then crashing for good measure.

Whatever it is that the site infrastructure requires you ought to do as it is clearly not right, it appears more problematic than it was over the weekend. I am sure people would understand.

Posting is still causing a problem on my AppleMac. It's either slow or doesn't react at all when I press "submit reply" button. It's also slow when I try to enter another thread.

Ok we've made a change to a problematic query so can people let me know if things are performing better? It was specifically related to posting, so post away in here to your hearts content and let me know if you see any more errors.

Fingers crossed...

(edit 2!)
