Well they are choosing from a far larger talent pool,
Larger Pool for sure but larger talent pool....now that is debatable.![]()

I apologize to all of you good people in europe that this shower of shit has made it across the ocean to pollute your televisions as well
Please know that this show does not reflect all of the people that live in the US
Absolutely hate the show.
Mentioned this in the other thread, did anyone see Adam lambert performing satusfaction? Thought he was awesome
Oh as far as singing shows go nothing touched rockstar
he looks it. gay/emo
Yup. Didn't think the big fella who works on the oil rigs(i think?) was any good though.
In parts. Cook was good. Was funny how the judges had it so wrong thinking Archuleta was going to walk it.
he did hello then billie jeanYep was very good at making songs his own. There was another song he did that i really liked. Name escapes me though.
Only the 50 million that watch it 3 times per week....... but I agree with you a part from that!
Dont care frankly.yes he was awesome - excellent voice.
is he gay?
To be fair it is a singing competition and doesnt pretend to have anything to do with writing. The show is contrived beyond the limits of what most define as contrived. And the 'Idols'... fecking disgrace. Give me an 'artist' who has the capacity to write something now and again. Otherwise, they can go to the fecking opera.

I dont post much here about music but whenever i peek i find the taste in music to be extremely strange. Everyone seems to listen to british bands/ music which the rest of the world has never heard of.
How old are you?
Thats irrelevant. I listen to everything from the 60s to now. 23.

23. 20 fecking 3. Wow. What about prior to 60's? Do you know who Elvis is? Honestly, don't try to come at me with knowledge. If you're such a badass, name me the 60's West Coast cult classic which was realized by a lad who thought he'd not last the year...
I never 'came to you' with knowledge. I've actually never been impressed by someones age. Does that happen often with you? I'm not american and have no clue what west coast and east coast means. Who doesnt know who elvis is? Rubbish question. Anyway i love elvis, quality music, outstanding voice, pioneer.
This is a bizzare conversation. I love music, i love rock/ rock n roll and sing, write and compose myself. Dont know why im defending myself against a weird post such as yours.
Quite obvious. I'm more knowledgeable than you. Age isn't the main factor. I'm only 27. However if you don't realize that West Coast American 60's cult classic from a lad who thought he would die within months is 'Forever Changes' by Love, you don't know rock music. Sorry. Do some more research.
Where did this clown come from? Why do you feel the need to prove your more knowledgeable than others? Is it insecurity? I doubt many care whether they know more or less than you as it makes no difference to their lives whatsoever. It doesn't to mine.
Why would i do some research? Knowing rock music is not about knowing every band that has existed, its about listening to what you do and taking it in, in the way you want to. Whether that's using it for creative output or just giving yourself some peace of mind to get through a tough night. You my friend are noone to claim someone else doesnt know music. Thats the best part about music, its all about opinions, its all subjective.
I like what i listen to and what i write and compose comes out pretty well. In my short time i've heard a wide variety of bands, and i wouldnt change anything about my 'process'. Infact i like not having a 'process'.
No there's not. Can you name me the most irritating and unpleasant member on Redcafe in recent times? I have faith in you. No wait i don't.Gross. No, there is right and there is wrong. Just like everything else in life. Can you name me the punk band that gave birth to a prominent New Wave Manchester band? Surely, I have faith in you.

You have serious issues man.
If you don't know who Joy Division or New Order are, you shouldn't be arguing up a fence post over music. You can leave that to Tom Waits, who I'm sure you know nothing of. feck off. Bye bye now.
